1. Purpose of This Quotation Estimate
This Quotation Estimate is issued by Mudzimu Creative Productions (Pvt) Ltd to provide a comprehensive, itemised financial breakdown for the engagement of a professional Film Director and associated production services for a feature-length or short-form cinematic project to be shot primarily in Zimbabwe Harare and select locations across the country. This document serves as a formal, binding proposal once accepted in writing by the client. All figures are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated, in accordance with standard practice for international co-productions operating within Zimbabwe.
2. Scope of Services — Film Director Engagement
The Film Director engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall be responsible for the complete creative and operational leadership of the production from pre-production through to final delivery. The director's duties include, but are not limited to: script interpretation and breakdown, casting direction, shot composition and blocking, on-set performance coaching, continuity oversight, collaboration with the cinematographer and production designer, and final editorial guidance. The Film Director will be based in Zimbabwe Harare for the duration of the project and will coordinate all local logistics, permits, and crew management within the Harare metropolitan area and any additional filming locations approved by the client.

4. Payment Terms
Payment against this Quotation Estimate shall be structured as follows: 30% advance deposit upon signed acceptance to secure the Film Director's calendar and initiate pre-production in Zimbabwe Harare; 40% milestone payment upon commencement of principal photography; and the remaining 30% upon delivery of the final locked cut and all associated deliverables. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the Mudzimu Creative Productions (Pvt) Ltd account at CBZ Bank, Harare, Zimbabwe. Late payments shall attract a penalty of 2% per month on the outstanding balance.
5. Terms and Conditions
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Thereafter, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Zimbabwe Harare and the broader Zimbabwean entertainment industry.
- The Film Director retains full creative authority over artistic decisions during production. The client reserves the right to request up to two (2) editorial revisions per sequence without additional charge.
- All filming activities within Zimbabwe Harare and other Zimbabwean locations shall comply with the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation Act, the Copyright and Patents Act, and all applicable municipal by-laws. The production company assumes responsibility for obtaining all necessary permits, which are itemised in Section 3.5.
- Intellectual property: Upon full and final payment, all rights to the finished film, including the Film Director's creative contributions, shall vest in the client. The Film Director retains the right to display the work at film festivals and for portfolio purposes, subject to prior written consent from the client for commercial exploitation.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, civil unrest, or pandemics affecting operations in Zimbabwe Harare or elsewhere in Zimbabwe.
- Dispute Resolution: Any dispute arising from this Quotation Estimate shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within thirty (30) days, the matter shall be referred to arbitration under the rules of the Zimbabwe Arbitration Centre, Harare.
- Taxes: All amounts are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing Zimbabwean rate of 15%, which shall be added to the final invoice where applicable. Withholding tax obligations under Zimbabwean law shall be the responsibility of the client.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a contract until countersigned by both parties. Upon acceptance, it shall form part of the master production agreement governing the engagement of the Film Director and all associated services in Zimbabwe Harare.
6. Acceptance & Authorisation
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate, confirms acceptance of all terms, conditions, and the itemised costs for the Film Director engagement in Zimbabwe Harare, and authorises Mudzimu Creative Productions (Pvt) Ltd to commence pre-production activities upon receipt of the advance deposit.
