This Quotation Estimate is submitted by GeoEthiopia Professional Services PLC in response to the request for professional geological and geotechnical consultancy services for the Addis Ababa Light Rail Extension Phase II project. Our team of licensed Geologist professionals, operating under the regulatory framework of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum of Ethiopia, will deliver comprehensive subsurface investigation, soil and rock classification, and geohazard assessment services across the designated corridor in Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
The scope encompasses borehole drilling, standard penetration testing (SPT), laboratory geotechnical analysis, geological mapping at 1:5,000 scale, and the preparation of a final engineering geology report suitable for structural design purposes. The Geologist team assigned to this engagement in Ethiopia Addis Ababa shall include: one (1) Lead Geologist (MSc. Geology, 15+ years experience, licensed by the Ethiopian Geological Survey), two (2) Field Geologists (BSc. Geology/Geotechnical Engineering), one (1) Geotechnical Laboratory Supervisor, and four (4) Drilling Technicians. All personnel will hold valid work permits and comply with the Ethiopian Labour Proclamation No. 1156/2019.
4. Terms and Conditions- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Prices are quoted in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) and are subject to adjustment if the official exchange rate fluctuates by more than 10% during the contract period.
- Payment shall be made in three installments: 30% upon contract signing, 40% upon completion of all field drilling and sampling activities, and 30% upon delivery and acceptance of the final Engineering Geology Report.
- All work will be performed in accordance with Ethiopian national standards (ES 2000 series) and, where applicable, international standards (ASTM, ISRM, Eurocode 7).
- The Geologist team shall submit weekly progress reports to the client's project manager at the Ethiopian Roads Authority office in Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
- Any change in scope, additional boreholes, or extended laboratory testing beyond the quantities stated herein shall be subject to a separate written amendment to this Quotation Estimate.
- GeoEthiopia Professional Services PLC shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of not less than ETB 10,000,000 for the duration of the project.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved through arbitration in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in accordance with the Ethiopian Arbitration Proclamation No. 1221/2020.
- All data, reports, and intellectual property generated under this engagement shall become the property of the client upon full payment.
