1. Project Description and Scope of WorkThis Quotation Estimate is issued by GeoBerlin Consulting GmbH in response to the formal request from Berlin Stadtentwicklung AG for comprehensive geological survey and assessment services. The project is located in the district of Mitte, Germany Berlin, specifically covering an area of approximately 12 hectares designated for a new mixed-use urban development. The Geologist assigned to this engagement will conduct a full subsurface investigation, geological mapping, and risk assessment in accordance with German federal and state regulations, including the Bundesberggesetz (BBergG) and the Berliner Bauordnung (BBO).
The scope of work encompasses the following deliverables: detailed geological site characterization, borehole drilling and core sampling (minimum 8 boreholes at 30-meter depth), geotechnical laboratory analysis, groundwater contamination screening, seismic microzonation mapping, and a final geological report compliant with DIN 4018 and DIN 4019 standards. All fieldwork will be conducted within the boundaries of Germany Berlin under the supervision of the licensed Geologist and in coordination with the Berliner Senatsverwaltung für Stadtentwicklung.

- Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue. After 14 July 2025, all rates are subject to revision based on current market conditions in Germany Berlin.
- Payment Terms: 30% advance payment upon contract signing; 40% upon completion of fieldwork (end of Week 5); 30% upon delivery of the final geological report. Invoices are payable within 14 days net per German commercial practice (BGB § 286).
- Liability: The Geologist and GeoBerlin Consulting GmbH shall be liable for damages up to the total contract value. Liability is limited to gross negligence and intentional misconduct in accordance with German civil law.
- Confidentiality: All geological data, borehole logs, and site-specific information pertaining to this project in Germany Berlin shall be treated as confidential and shall not be disclosed to third parties without written consent from the client.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, regulatory changes by the Berliner Senatsverwaltung, or force majeure events as defined under German law.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved by the competent courts of Berlin, Germany. The applicable law shall be the law of the Federal Republic of Germany.
- Subcontracting: The Geologist reserves the right to subcontract laboratory analysis and geophysical survey components to accredited partner firms, provided that quality standards and reporting obligations remain fully met.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the scope of geological services, pricing, and terms outlined herein. The engagement of the Geologist and all fieldwork in Germany Berlin shall commence upon written confirmation and receipt of the advance payment.
