This Quotation Estimate is issued by Earth Sciences & Geological Consulting Ltd. to provide a comprehensive, itemized cost breakdown for the engagement of a qualified Geologist and supporting geological field team to conduct subsurface investigation, geological mapping, and environmental geotechnical assessment in Ghana Accra. The scope of work has been tailored to the specific requirements of the Tema Harbour expansion project and aligns with the standards set forth by the Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGS) and the Minerals Commission of Ghana.
The Geologist engaged under this Quotation Estimate will hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Geology or Earth Sciences, possess at least ten (10) years of professional experience in West African geological contexts, and be registered with the Engineering, Architecture and Surveying Council of Ghana (EASCG). All fieldwork will be conducted in strict compliance with Ghanaian environmental regulations and local community engagement protocols specific to the Ghana Accra metropolitan area.
- Geological Mapping & Reconnaissance: The lead Geologist will conduct a detailed 1:5,000 scale geological mapping exercise across approximately 12 square kilometres of the designated project corridor in Ghana Accra, identifying lithological units, structural features, fault lines, and potential geohazard zones.
- Subsurface Borehole Investigation: A minimum of eighteen (18) boreholes, each drilled to a depth of 30 metres, will be supervised by the Geologist to characterize subsurface stratigraphy, groundwater levels, and soil bearing capacity relevant to the Ghana Accra coastal-plain geology.
- Geotechnical Laboratory Analysis: All core samples and disturbed soil specimens collected during the Ghana Accra field campaign will be processed and tested at an accredited laboratory for Atterberg limits, unconfined compressive strength, triaxial shear, and chemical composition.
- Environmental & Geohazard Assessment: The Geologist will evaluate potential risks including coastal erosion, subsidence, seismic microzonation, and contamination of the aquifer system beneath the Ghana Accra project site, producing a dedicated risk-mitigation report.
- Final Technical Report & Presentation: A comprehensive 200-page technical report, complete with geological cross-sections, borehole logs, geotechnical parameter tables, and recommended foundation design parameters, will be delivered to the client. A formal presentation will be held in Ghana Accra for the project stakeholders.
