The Geologist engagement encompasses the following deliverables:

• Desktop geological study and review of British Geological Survey (BGS) data for the United Kingdom Manchester area, including identification of glacial deposits, peat layers, and potential contaminated ground conditions typical of the Manchester Basin.
• Site reconnaissance and preliminary geological mapping by a qualified Geologist across the 2.4-hectare development footprint in United Kingdom Manchester.
• Design and supervision of borehole drilling (minimum 8 boreholes to a depth of 15 metres below ground level) to characterise the stratigraphy, groundwater conditions, and bearing capacity of the subsoil.
• Geotechnical laboratory testing of soil and rock samples, including triaxial compression, consolidation, and permeability tests, to be conducted at our accredited laboratory in Manchester.
• Preparation of a full Geotechnical and Geological Investigation Report (GGIR) compliant with the Planning Portal submission requirements for United Kingdom Manchester.
• Two on-site technical meetings with the client's structural engineering team to discuss findings and recommend foundation design parameters.
• Provision of a written opinion on the geological suitability of the site for the proposed 12-storey residential and commercial structure.

1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates and the total Quotation Estimate amount are subject to revision.
2. All services described herein shall be performed by a qualified and Chartered Geologist holding membership of the Geological Society of London (MGS) and registered with the Engineering and Geosciences Council (EGC).
3. Payment terms: 30% deposit upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; 40% upon completion of fieldwork and borehole drilling; 30% upon delivery of the final Geotechnical and Geological Investigation Report.
4. All invoices are payable within thirty (30) days of the date of issue. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. The Geologist shall comply with all applicable health and safety legislation, including the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and shall hold a valid Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) prior to commencing any site work in United Kingdom Manchester.
6. Intellectual property: All reports, data, and geological interpretations produced under this Quotation Estimate shall become the property of the client upon full and final payment.
7. Liability: The total liability of Northwest Geological Consultancy Ltd. under this Quotation Estimate shall not exceed the total contract value of £49,620.00 (inclusive of VAT).
8. This Quotation Estimate is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of United Kingdom Manchester.
9. Force majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather conditions affecting site access in the Manchester area.
