This document outlines the scope of professional services, associated costs, project timeline, and contractual terms governing the engagement. All pricing presented herein is firm for the validity period stated above and is subject to the terms and conditions detailed in Section 6.

The licensed Geologist assigned to this project will deliver the following professional services within the United States Los Angeles metropolitan area:

• Desktop Geological Review: Compilation and analysis of existing geological, geophysical, and hydrogeological data for the project parcel, including USGS seismic hazard maps, LA County geological surveys, and historical borehole records relevant to the Los Angeles Basin sedimentary formations.
• Field Geomorphological Survey: On-site mapping of surface geology, identification of fault trace exposures, assessment of slope stability along the western boundary of the parcel, and documentation of any visible karst or alluvial channel features characteristic of the Los Angeles River floodplain.
• Subsurface Investigation Oversight: Supervision of a minimum of six (6) rotary borehole penetrations to a depth of 150 feet below ground surface, including core logging, Standard Penetration Test (SPT) execution, and collection of undisturbed soil and rock samples for laboratory classification.
• Seismic and Liquefaction Assessment: Evaluation of site-specific seismic response parameters in accordance with the California Building Code (CBC) Chapter 16, including determination of Site Class, Vs30 values, and liquefaction susceptibility for the saturated alluvial deposits prevalent in the United States Los Angeles area.
• Geological Hazard Report: Preparation of a comprehensive narrative report addressing potential geological hazards including but not limited to seismic ground shaking, liquefaction, lateral spreading, differential settlement, and groundwater contamination risks specific to the project location.

• Client Presentation and Q&A: A minimum of two (2) on-site or virtual presentation sessions with the project team to review findings, answer technical questions, and recommend mitigation strategies.

The Geologist engagement is anticipated to span approximately eight (8) calendar weeks from the date of contract execution. Fieldwork in the United States Los Angeles site is scheduled for weeks three through five, with laboratory analysis and report compilation occurring in weeks six through eight. A preliminary findings briefing will be provided to the client at the conclusion of week five.

* All amounts are in United States Dollars (USD). Applicable California state sales tax and Los Angeles County local taxes, if any, will be added at the prevailing rate. This Quotation Estimate does not include third-party laboratory testing fees, which are estimated separately at approximately $8,200.00 and will be billed directly by the contracted laboratory.

This Quotation Estimate assumes unrestricted site access during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 07:00 to 17:00) at the United States Los Angeles project location. The estimate excludes any additional boreholes beyond the six (6) specified, environmental sampling, geophysical survey methods (e.g., seismic refraction, electrical resistivity tomography) unless separately requested, and any remediation design work. Should the Geologist encounter unforeseen subsurface conditions that materially alter the scope, a supplemental quotation will be issued prior to any additional work commencing.
