Quotation Estimate No.: QTE-2025-MIA-0047

Date of Issue: June 12, 2025

Valid Until: July 12, 2025 (30 calendar days)

Project Location: 4200 NE 163rd Street, Miami, FL 33162, United States

Prepared By: Dr. Elena Vasquez, P.G. (Professional Geologist, State of Florida)

This Quotation Estimate is issued by Atlantic Coastal Geoscience Group, LLC in response to the formal request submitted by Meridian Development Partners, Inc. for comprehensive geological assessment services at the above-referenced property in Miami, Florida, United States. The scope of work encompasses a full geotechnical and geological investigation to support the planned construction of a 14-story mixed-use residential and commercial development. All services described herein will be performed by a licensed Professional Geologist and a qualified team of field technicians in strict compliance with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) regulations, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) guidelines, and the Miami-Dade County Building Code.

The following services constitute the complete scope of work for which this Quotation Estimate is provided. Each phase will be supervised and signed off by our lead Geologist, Dr. Elena Vasquez, who holds a Florida Professional Geologist license and over 18 years of experience in the Miami-Dade coastal and karst geology environment.

Phase I — Desktop Geologic Review and Site Reconnaissance

The Geologist will conduct a thorough review of existing U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) topographic and geologic maps, Miami-Dade County soil surveys, FEMA flood zone designations, and any prior geotechnical reports on file. A preliminary site reconnaissance will be performed to identify visible surface geologic features, including sinkhole indicators, alluvial deposits, and coastal erosion patterns characteristic of the Miami area.

Phase II — Field Investigation and Subsurface Sampling

A team of four field technicians, directed by the Geologist, will perform the following field activities at the United States Miami site:

  • Drilling of 12 (twelve) boreholes to a minimum depth of 60 feet below ground surface (BGS) using a 6-inch hollow-stem auger rig.
  • Collection of undisturbed and disturbed soil and rock samples at 5-foot intervals for laboratory analysis.
  • Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) at each borehole location to determine soil bearing capacity and liquefaction potential.
  • Groundwater level monitoring over a 72-hour period to establish the seasonal water table elevation, which is critical in the Miami coastal aquifer system.
  • Identification and mapping of the Miami Oolite limestone layer, which is the primary bedrock formation in this region of the United States.

Phase III — Laboratory Testing and Analysis

All collected samples will be transported to our accredited laboratory in Miami, Florida, for the following tests: Atterberg limits, grain-size distribution, unconfined compressive strength, triaxial shear testing, California Bearing Ratio (CBR), and chemical analysis for sulfate and chloride content to assess corrosion risk to structural foundations.

Phase IV — Geologic Interpretation and Final Report

The Geologist will synthesize all field and laboratory data into a comprehensive Geologic and Geotechnical Report. This report will include stratigraphic columnar logs, geologic cross-sections, foundation recommendations, slope stability analysis, seismic site classification per the 2020 International Building Code, and a detailed assessment of karst and sinkhole risk specific to the Miami-Dade geologic setting. The final report will be delivered in both hard copy (5 copies) and digital PDF format.
