This Quotation Estimate is structured with the following payment schedule:
- 50% deposit ($12,193.50 incl. GST): Due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and prior to the commencement of the Journalist engagement.
- 30% progress payment ($7,316.10 incl. GST): Due upon completion of the live event coverage phase (end of Day 8 of the engagement).
- 20% final balance ($4,877.40 incl. GST): Due within fourteen (14) business days of delivery of all final editorial deliverables and acceptance by the client.
All payments are to be made by electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the bank account of Brisbane Media & Communications Pty Ltd. Invoices will be issued in accordance with Australian Taxation Office requirements. Late payments will attract interest at the rate prescribed under the Australian Consumer Law.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, pricing for the Journalist engagement may be subject to revision.
- The Journalist assigned to this project is an independent contractor of Brisbane Media & Communications Pty Ltd and is not an employee of the client. The Journalist will operate in accordance with the Australian Media Code of Ethics.
- All intellectual property rights in the final editorial content produced by the Journalist shall transfer to the client upon full and final payment, subject to a non-exclusive licence retained by our firm for portfolio and promotional purposes.
- The Journalist will comply with all applicable Australian and Queensland legislation, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Defamation Act 2005 (Qld), and the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
- Any changes to the scope of work, additional days required for the Journalist, or changes to the event location within Australia Brisbane must be agreed in writing prior to commencement of the additional work. A revised Quotation Estimate will be issued for any such variations.
- Brisbane Media & Communications Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the Journalist engagement, except in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
- This Quotation Estimate is governed by the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia Brisbane.
- The Journalist will carry professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of AUD $5,000,000 for the duration of the engagement in Australia Brisbane.
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts this Quotation Estimate for Journalist services in Australia Brisbane. This acceptance constitutes a binding agreement between the parties for the scope of work, pricing, and terms set out in this document.
