The following Quotation Estimate outlines the full scope of work to be performed by the assigned Journalist. The Journalist will be a senior-level professional with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in Australian print and digital media, holding a verified membership with the Australian Journalists Association. The Journalist will be based in Australia Sydney and will conduct all fieldwork, interviews, and reporting within the Greater Sydney region, including but not limited to the CBD, Western Sydney, and the Northern Beaches.
The Journalist will be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Production of four (4) long-form investigative articles (minimum 3,500 words each) covering local governance, urban development, and community affairs in Australia Sydney.

The Journalist engagement will commence on 1 July 2025 and is projected to conclude by 30 September 2025. The first two articles are scheduled for delivery by 15 August 2025, and the remaining two articles by 28 September 2025. All timelines are contingent upon the timely availability of interview subjects and the receipt of any Freedom of Information responses required for the research phase. The Journalist will provide weekly progress updates to the client's project lead throughout the duration of the engagement in Australia Sydney.
5.1 Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of issue. Should the client wish to proceed after the expiry date, the rates and availability of the Journalist will be subject to reconfirmation.
5.2 Payment Terms: A deposit of fifty percent (50%) of the total amount, being $17,792.50 (inclusive of GST), is due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. The remaining balance of $17,792.50 is due within fourteen (14) days of final delivery of all four articles. Payment is to be made by direct bank transfer to the account details provided on the accompanying invoice.
5.3 Intellectual Property: Upon full and final payment, all rights to the published articles, including copyright, shall transfer to Meridian Publishing Group. The Journalist retains the right to be credited as the author in all published editions.
5.4 Cancellation: Should the client cancel the engagement after the Journalist has commenced fieldwork, the deposit shall be non-refundable. Cancellation prior to commencement will result in a 10% administrative fee being deducted from the deposit before refund.
5.5 Confidentiality: The Journalist and all personnel engaged under this Quotation Estimate agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the client's editorial plans, unpublished content, and any sensitive information encountered during reporting in Australia Sydney.
5.6 Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia Sydney.
5.7 Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government-imposed restrictions, or public health emergencies affecting the Australia Sydney region.
