3.1 Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Any engagement beyond this period shall require a revised Quotation Estimate reflecting current market rates in DR Congo Kinshasa.
3.2 Payment Terms: A non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total Quotation Estimate amount shall be due upon acceptance. The remaining 60% shall be payable in two equal installments: 30% at the midpoint of the engagement period and 30% upon final delivery of all Journalist work products. All payments shall be made in US Dollars via bank transfer to the account designated in the contract.
3.3 Intellectual Property: All articles, recordings, photographs, and multimedia content produced by the Journalist under this Quotation Estimate shall become the exclusive property of the client upon full payment. The Journalist retains the right to display the work in a professional portfolio with prior written consent.
3.4 Force Majeure: Given the operational environment in DR Congo Kinshasa, either party may suspend services in the event of civil unrest, natural disaster, government-imposed media restrictions, or other force majeure events. In such cases, this Quotation Estimate shall be extended proportionally without additional cost.
3.5 Confidentiality: The Journalist shall adhere to strict confidentiality protocols regarding client-sensitive information, sources, and unpublished material gathered during assignments in DR Congo Kinshasa.
3.6 Cancellation: Cancellation by the client after the 40% deposit has been paid shall result in forfeiture of the deposit. Cancellation by the service provider without cause shall require full refund of all amounts received.
3.7 Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting contract shall be governed by the laws of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in DR Congo Kinshasa in accordance with the rules of the Kinshasa Chamber of Commerce.
