- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Should the client wish to proceed after the expiry date, a revised Quotation Estimate may be required to reflect any changes in the Journalist's availability or prevailing market rates in New Zealand Wellington.
- Payment terms: 50% deposit due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; the remaining 50% is due within fourteen (14) business days of the completion of all Journalist deliverables.
- All services will be performed in accordance with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. The Journalist will adhere to the New Zealand Press Council's Code of Ethics and the Privacy Act 2020.
- The Journalist retains full editorial independence. Meridian Media & Communications Ltd. does not guarantee specific content, tone, or conclusions in any published material. The Journalist is not an employee of the client and operates as an independent contractor under New Zealand employment law.
- All intellectual property in written, photographic, and audio-visual materials produced by the Journalist shall be jointly owned by Meridian Media & Communications Ltd. and the client, with mutual licensing rights for non-commercial use within New Zealand Wellington and nationally.
- Cancellation policy: Cancellation more than fourteen (14) days before the event incurs a 25% fee. Cancellation between seven (7) and fourteen (14) days incurs a 50% fee. Cancellation within seven (7) days incurs a 100% fee of the total Quotation Estimate value.
- Force majeure: Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters (earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic activity), severe weather affecting New Zealand Wellington, or government-mandated closures.
- This Quotation Estimate is governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved through the Disputes Tribunal of New Zealand or, where the amount exceeds the Tribunal's jurisdiction, through the District Court of Wellington.
