This Quotation Estimate is issued by the undersigned Journalist to Vukani Holdings (Pty) Ltd for the provision of comprehensive media, editorial, and investigative journalism services to be executed within the South Africa Johannesburg metropolitan area and its surrounding regions. The services outlined below are designed to support the client's corporate communications strategy, public relations objectives, and media engagement goals over a period of twelve (12) months commencing 1 July 2025.
The Journalist shall operate in full compliance with the South African Press Code, the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of 2013, and all applicable media regulations as governed by the Media, Broadcasting and Communications Act (MBCA) of South Africa. All deliverables will be produced to the highest editorial standards expected within the South Africa Johannesburg media landscape.

All amounts in this Quotation Estimate are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of all professional fees. Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current rate of 15% is applied as per South African tax legislation. Payment shall be made within thirty (30) days of invoice date via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the Journalist's registered business account. A monthly retainer of R 39,754.58 (inclusive of VAT) may be arranged by mutual agreement to spread the total cost evenly across the twelve-month engagement period.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Thereafter, rates may be subject to revision based on market conditions in the South Africa Johannesburg media sector.
- The Journalist reserves the right to decline any assignment that conflicts with editorial independence, ethical journalism standards, or the South African Press Code of Conduct.
- All intellectual property rights in published content shall vest in the client upon full payment, subject to the Journalist's right to retain a portfolio copy for professional reference.
- Any additional services beyond the scope defined in this estimate shall be subject to a separate written amendment and additional quotation.
- The Journalist shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of R 2,000,000.00 throughout the duration of the engagement.
- Disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through mediation in Johannesburg, South Africa, in accordance with the rules of the South African Dispute Resolution Centre.
- The client acknowledges that the Journalist operates as an independent contractor and not as an employee of Vukani Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
- All fieldwork, interviews, and reporting activities shall be conducted within the South Africa Johannesburg metropolitan area unless otherwise agreed in writing. Travel outside this area will be billed at an additional rate of R 12.50 per kilometre.
- Confidentiality obligations shall survive the termination of this engagement for a period of three (3) years.
By signing below, the client confirms acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and authorises the Journalist to commence services as outlined herein. This document, once signed by both parties, constitutes a binding service agreement for the provision of journalism and media services in South Africa Johannesburg.
