The Journalist proposed for this engagement holds a minimum of eight (8) years of verified experience in print, broadcast, and digital media, with a proven track record of producing high-quality content for national and international audiences based in Sri Lanka Colombo. All rates quoted in this Quotation Estimate are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

The Journalist engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties within Sri Lanka Colombo and, where necessary, in adjacent districts such as Gampaha, Kandy, and Galle:

• Conducting in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, government officials, and community leaders in Sri Lanka Colombo.
• Writing and editing long-form articles, feature stories, and investigative reports for print and digital publications.
• Producing broadcast-ready scripts for television and radio segments covering local and national affairs in Sri Lanka Colombo.
• Managing the client's press releases, media advisories, and corporate communications on a weekly basis.
• Attending and covering press conferences, public events, and government briefings held in Sri Lanka Colombo.
• Providing editorial oversight and fact-checking for all published materials to ensure compliance with Sri Lankan media regulations.
• Delivering a monthly editorial strategy report to the client's management team.

* Exchange rate used: 1 USD = 314.75 LKR (as of 15 June 2025). Final USD equivalent shall be determined at the time of invoicing.

• This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, rates may be revised to reflect market conditions in Sri Lanka Colombo.
• Payment terms: 50% advance upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, with the remaining 50% payable in equal monthly instalments within seven (7) business days of each invoice.
• The Journalist shall be engaged as an independent contractor and shall not be considered an employee of the client. All statutory obligations under Sri Lankan labour law applicable to independent professionals shall be observed.
• All content produced by the Journalist shall remain the intellectual property of the client upon full payment. The Journalist retains the right to be credited as the author.
• The Journalist shall comply with the Sri Lanka Press Council Code of Ethics and all applicable laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
• Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In such an event, the client shall be liable for all services rendered up to the date of termination.
• This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until formally accepted in writing by both parties.
• All work shall be conducted primarily from the client's premises in Sri Lanka Colombo, with fieldwork as specified in the scope of services.
