This Quotation Estimate is issued by East African Media & Communications Ltd., a registered media services firm operating in Uganda Kampala, to provide a comprehensive and transparent financial breakdown for the professional engagement of a qualified Journalist. The Journalist to be engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall provide the following professional services within the Uganda Kampala metropolitan area and its surrounding districts:

  • News gathering, reporting, and editorial writing for print, digital, and broadcast media outlets.
  • Conducting in-depth interviews with government officials, corporate executives, community leaders, and public figures in Uganda Kampala.
  • Preparation of feature articles, investigative reports, opinion pieces, and press releases.
  • Coverage of press conferences, public events, parliamentary sessions, and corporate functions held in Uganda Kampala.
  • Content editing, fact-checking, and quality assurance of all published material.
  • Management of social media content calendars and digital newsroom coordination.
  • Adherence to the Uganda Press Council Code of Ethics and the Uganda Media Council Act.

  1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates may be subject to revision based on prevailing economic conditions in Uganda Kampala.
  2. Payment for the Journalist services shall be made within fourteen (14) days of the end of each calendar month, via bank transfer to the account of East African Media & Communications Ltd., Kampala, Uganda.
  3. All rates quoted in this Quotation Estimate are exclusive of any additional travel expenses beyond the Kampala and Wakiso districts. Out-of-area assignments within Uganda will be quoted separately.
  4. The Journalist engaged under this arrangement shall comply with all applicable laws of the Republic of Uganda, including but not limited to the Uganda Press and Parliamentary Privileges Act, the Data Protection and Privacy Act, and the Uganda Media Council Act.
  5. Any changes to the scope of work outlined in Section 2 of this Quotation Estimate must be agreed upon in writing by both parties before additional services are rendered.
  6. This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal Service Agreement is executed by both parties in Uganda Kampala.
  7. All intellectual property rights in published content shall be determined by the terms of the final Service Agreement. By default, the Client retains editorial ownership of commissioned material.
  8. Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent engagement of the Journalist shall be resolved through mediation in Kampala, Uganda, in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Uganda.
  9. The Journalist shall not be engaged in any conflicting assignments that may create a conflict of interest with the Client during the term of this engagement.
  10. This Quotation Estimate is prepared exclusively for the named Client and shall not be reproduced, distributed, or used for any other purpose without the prior written consent of East African Media & Communications Ltd.

By signing below, the Client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and financial obligations outlined herein for the engagement of the Journalist in Uganda Kampala.
