* The total estimated cost above reflects a three-month engagement period. Monthly recurring costs, excluding the one-off quarterly event coverage, amount to £11,290.00 plus applicable VAT. All figures are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are exclusive of any additional costs arising from scope changes requested by the client after acceptance of this Quotation Estimate.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Should the client wish to proceed after the expiry date, a revised Quotation Estimate reflecting any changes in market rates or availability of the Journalist will be issued.
- Payment terms are Net 30 days from the date of invoice. Invoices will be issued at the end of each calendar month for services rendered. The quarterly event coverage fee will be invoiced in a single payment upon completion of the final event in the quarter.
- The Journalist engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall operate in strict accordance with the IPSO Editors' Code of Practice, the Data Protection Act 2018, and all applicable United Kingdom broadcasting and press regulations. The Journalist will not publish any material without prior written approval from the client's editorial lead.
- All intellectual property rights in the written, audio, and video content produced by the Journalist during the term of this engagement shall vest in the client upon full payment of the corresponding invoice. The Journalist retains the right to be credited as the author or reporter of the work.
- The client agrees to provide reasonable access to press offices, council chambers, court galleries, and other public venues within Birmingham, United Kingdom, as necessary for the Journalist to carry out reporting duties. Any special access arrangements or security clearances will be coordinated between the parties in advance.
- Either party may terminate this engagement with fourteen (14) days' written notice. In the event of early termination by the client, all services rendered up to the date of termination shall be invoiced in full. No penalty or liquidated damages shall apply.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until it has been countersigned by both parties. The full service-level agreement and terms of engagement will be executed separately upon acceptance.
- All disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent engagement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
By signing below, the client confirms that this Quotation Estimate has been reviewed in full and that the estimated costs, scope of Journalist services, and terms and conditions are acceptable. The engagement will commence on the start date specified in the subsequent service-level agreement.
