The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities on a full-time basis (44 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with one hour for lunch):

• Perform routine laboratory analyses including chemical, biological, and microbiological testing in accordance with ISO 17025 and ABNT NBR standards applicable in Brazil.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as spectrophotometers, centrifuges, autoclaves, and analytical balances.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and culture media following standardized operating procedures (SOPs) established by the Client.
• Ensure full compliance with Brazilian regulatory requirements, including ANVISA guidelines, state environmental regulations (INEA – Rio de Janeiro), and occupational health and safety protocols (NR-06, NR-33, NR-35).
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, data logs, and quality control documentation in both physical and digital formats.
• Assist senior scientists and researchers in experimental design, sample collection, and data interpretation.
• Manage inventory of laboratory consumables, chemicals, and safety equipment, ensuring proper storage and disposal in compliance with Brazilian environmental law.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, calibration schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support to the broader research team in the Rio de Janeiro laboratory facility.

* All amounts are expressed in Brazilian Reais (BRL). Prices are subject to adjustment in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement (Convenção Coletiva de Trabalho) for laboratory technicians in the state of Rio de Janeiro. This Quotation Estimate does not include applicable state or municipal taxes (ISS) unless otherwise stated.

1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After this period, pricing may be revised to reflect current market conditions in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
2. The placement of the Laboratory Technician is subject to successful completion of background checks, reference verification, and a practical skills assessment conducted at the Client's facility in Rio de Janeiro.
3. Payment terms: Net 15 (fifteen) days from the date of invoice issuance. Invoices will be issued on the 5th of each month for the preceding month's services. Late payments will incur a penalty of 1% per month plus SELIC interest as per Brazilian commercial law.
4. The staffing agency (RioTech Staffing Solutions Ltda.) assumes full responsibility for payroll processing, social security contributions, and compliance with all labor legislation in Brazil, including the CLT and applicable state regulations for Rio de Janeiro.
5. The Client is responsible for providing a safe and compliant laboratory work environment, including all necessary PPE beyond the standard items listed in Item 4 of the cost breakdown.
6. Either party may terminate the service agreement with a 30-day written notice. In the event of termination for cause, no notice period is required.
7. This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract. A formal Service Agreement (Contrato de Prestação de Serviços) will be executed upon the Client's written acceptance of this estimate.
8. All disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent agreement shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of the courts of Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil.
