1. Purpose of This Quotation Estimate
This Quotation Estimate is issued by MedLab Solutions GmbH in response to the formal request from Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin for the recruitment, placement, and ongoing management of a qualified Laboratory Technician to support the Department of Clinical Chemistry. The scope of this Quotation Estimate covers all costs associated with sourcing, onboarding, and providing the Laboratory Technician for the specified contract period within the Germany Berlin metropolitan area. All figures presented herein are exclusive of applicable German Value Added Tax (Mehrwertsteuer / VAT) at the standard rate of 19%, which will be added at the point of invoicing in accordance with German tax regulations (UStG).
2. Scope of Services – Laboratory Technician Role
The Laboratory Technician engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties at the designated facility in Germany Berlin:
- Operation, calibration, and routine maintenance of analytical instruments including HPLC systems, spectrophotometers, centrifuges, and automated chemistry analysers.
- Preparation of reagents, buffers, and standard solutions in strict compliance with ISO 15189:2022 laboratory accreditation standards applicable in Germany.
- Execution of clinical chemistry assays, haematology panels, and microbiological culture procedures under the supervision of senior laboratory scientists.
- Maintenance of quality assurance records, chain-of-custody documentation, and electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) entries in accordance with German pharmaceutical and medical device regulations (AMG, MPG).
- Participation in internal and external quality assessment (Ringversuch) programmes coordinated by the German Society for Laboratory Medicine (DG LabMed).
- Adherence to all occupational health and safety protocols (Arbeitsschutzgesetz) and biosafety level 2 (BSL-2) containment requirements within the Germany Berlin laboratory environment.
- Collaboration with the clinical team to ensure timely turnaround of diagnostic results and to provide technical support during research projects.

4. Terms and Conditions
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, pricing may be subject to revision due to market fluctuations in the Germany Berlin labour market.
- Payment terms: Net 30 days from the date of invoice. Invoices shall be issued monthly in arrears. Late payments shall incur interest at the statutory rate under § 288 BGB (German Civil Code).
- The Laboratory Technician shall be subject to a pre-employment medical examination and a criminal record check (Führungszeugnis) as required by German employment law and institutional policy.
- Confidentiality: All data, patient information, and proprietary research materials encountered by the Laboratory Technician in Germany Berlin are subject to strict non-disclosure obligations in line with the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/DSGVO).
- Termination: Either party may terminate the engagement with a written notice period of six (6) weeks. In the event of early termination, a pro-rata adjustment of the remaining contract value shall apply.
- Governing law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting contract shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Jurisdiction for any disputes shall lie with the competent court in Berlin, Germany.
- All work performed by the Laboratory Technician shall comply with the German Occupational Safety and Health Act (Arbeitsschutzgesetz), the Chemicals Act (Chemikaliengesetz), and applicable EU directives on laboratory safety.
5. Acceptance and Authorization
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and authorizes MedLab Solutions GmbH to proceed with the recruitment and placement of the Laboratory Technician in Germany Berlin under the terms and conditions outlined herein.
