This Quotation Estimate is issued by MedTech Personnel Solutions (Pty) Ltd in response to the formal request submitted by Sandton Diagnostics & Research Centre for the recruitment and placement of a qualified Laboratory Technician to operate within their clinical and research facilities located in South Africa Johannesburg. This document outlines the full scope of services, associated costs, and contractual terms governing the recruitment, onboarding, and initial retention period of the Laboratory Technician candidate. All pricing is quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and is subject to the terms and conditions set forth herein.
MedTech Personnel Solutions (Pty) Ltd shall provide the following services in connection with the recruitment of a Laboratory Technician for the client's operations in South Africa Johannesburg:
- Job Analysis & Market Research: Comprehensive analysis of the Laboratory Technician role requirements, including competency mapping, required qualifications (minimum NQF Level 5 in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent), and current market salary benchmarks specific to the South Africa Johannesburg healthcare and diagnostics sector.
- Candidate Sourcing & Screening: Active and passive recruitment of qualified Laboratory Technician candidates through industry databases, professional networks (including the South African Institute of Medical Laboratory Scientists), and targeted advertising across Johannesburg and the greater Gauteng region.
- Assessment & Verification: Technical competency testing, practical laboratory skills assessment, reference verification, academic credential validation, and criminal background checks in compliance with South African labour legislation.
- Interview Coordination: Scheduling and facilitating a minimum of two structured interview rounds between the shortlisted Laboratory Technician candidates and the client's hiring panel in South Africa Johannesburg.
- Offer Management & Negotiation: Preparation of formal offer letters, salary negotiation support, and contract finalisation in line with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act and the client's internal policies.
- Onboarding Support: Assistance with the first 90-day onboarding period, including orientation scheduling, mentorship pairing, and a 30/60/90-day performance check-in to ensure the Laboratory Technician integrates effectively into the South Africa Johannesburg laboratory team.
- Guarantee Period: A 90-day replacement guarantee. Should the placed Laboratory Technician resign or be terminated for cause within this period, MedTech Personnel Solutions shall, at no additional cost, source and place a replacement candidate of equivalent qualification.

4.1 A deposit of 40% (R 19,320.00) of the total Quotation Estimate value shall be payable within five (5) business days of written acceptance of this document.
4.2 The remaining 60% (R 28,980.00) shall be payable within ten (10) business days following the successful placement and commencement of the Laboratory Technician in the client's South Africa Johannesburg facility.
4.3 All payments shall be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the bank account of MedTech Personnel Solutions (Pty) Ltd. Account details will be provided upon acceptance.
4.4 Overdue payments shall attract interest at the rate of 2% per month, in accordance with the National Credit Act of South Africa.
5.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Thereafter, pricing is subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in the South Africa Johannesburg recruitment sector.
5.2 The Laboratory Technician placed under this agreement shall be employed directly by the client. MedTech Personnel Solutions (Pty) Ltd acts solely as a recruitment and placement intermediary and does not assume any employer liability.
5.3 All personal information processed during the recruitment of the Laboratory Technician shall be handled in strict compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), 2013, as applicable in South Africa.
5.4 The 90-day replacement guarantee applies only if the Laboratory Technician departs for reasons attributable to the candidate or is terminated for gross misconduct. It does not apply in cases of organisational restructuring, redundancy, or mutual agreement to terminate.
5.5 This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have signed and dated the acceptance section below and the initial deposit has been received.
5.6 Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through mediation in Johannesburg, South Africa, in accordance with the rules of the South African Dispute Resolution Centre.
This Quotation Estimate assumes that the client will provide a suitable, fully equipped laboratory workspace in South Africa Johannesburg for the Laboratory Technician to operate. Costs associated with laboratory equipment, reagents, PPE, and any specialised training beyond the standard onboarding are excluded from this quotation. Should the client require a Laboratory Technician with additional specialisations (e.g., molecular diagnostics, histopathology, or clinical chemistry at an advanced level), a supplementary Quotation Estimate will be issued upon request.
7. Acceptance of Quotation Estimate
By signing below, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined in this Quotation Estimate for the recruitment and placement of a Laboratory Technician in South Africa Johannesburg.
