2. Scope of Legal ServicesThe Lawyer assigned to this matter, Senior Associate Katherine M. Ashford, Barrister & Solicitor (BC), will provide the following services on behalf of the client in this Quotation Estimate:
- Initial consultation and comprehensive case assessment of the commercial property dispute involving the Oakridge Business Park leasehold interest.
- Preparation and service of a formal Notice of Claim and Statement of Claim in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Vancouver Registry.

- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of issuance. Upon expiry, the Lawyer reserves the right to revise the fee schedule to reflect current market rates in Canada Vancouver.
- All fees are subject to a minimum billing increment of one-tenth (0.1) of an hour. The Lawyer will provide monthly itemized statements detailing all time spent and disbursements incurred.
- The client is required to maintain a retainer account with the firm in the amount of $15,000.00 CAD, which will be drawn down as fees and disbursements are incurred. The retainer must be replenished when it falls below $5,000.00.
- This Quotation Estimate is based on the current understanding of the matter. Should the scope of work expand significantly due to unforeseen circumstances, the Lawyer will issue a revised Quotation Estimate for the client's written approval before proceeding with additional work.
- All communications between the client and the Lawyer are protected by solicitor-client privilege under the laws of British Columbia and Canada.
- This engagement is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Canada Vancouver. Any disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Vancouver.
- The Lawyer is a member in good standing of the Law Society of British Columbia and carries professional liability insurance in the amount of $5,000,000.00 CAD.
- Payment of all fees and disbursements is due within thirty (30) days of the date of each monthly invoice. Late payments may incur interest at the rate prescribed under the Law Society of British Columbia Rules.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a guarantee of outcome. The Lawyer will exercise all reasonable professional diligence in representing the client's interests in this matter.
