* This Quotation Estimate is a good-faith projection. Actual fees may vary depending on the complexity of the matter, the number of court hearings required, and any unforeseen procedural developments. The Lawyer will provide a revised Quotation Estimate in writing should the projected scope change by more than 15%.
In accordance with the standard practice of the Osaka Bar Association, the following payment schedule applies to this Quotation Estimate:
- Retainer / Advance Payment: 30% of the total estimated fee (¥457,050) is due upon execution of the Legal Services Engagement Agreement, prior to the commencement of any work by the Lawyer.
- Interim Payment: 40% of the total estimated fee (¥609,400) is due upon the filing of the complaint or the conclusion of the mediation phase, whichever occurs first.
- Final Payment: The remaining 30% (¥457,050) is due within 14 days of the final judgment, settlement agreement, or conclusion of enforcement proceedings.
All payments shall be made by bank transfer to the firm's designated account at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Umeda Branch, Osaka. The Lawyer reserves the right to suspend all legal proceedings if any payment becomes more than 30 days overdue.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, the Lawyer reserves the right to revise all rates and estimates.
- The Lawyer shall maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with the Japan Bar Association's Code of Ethics and the Attorney-Client Privilege provisions of the Japanese Code of Criminal Procedure.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a guarantee of any particular legal outcome. The Lawyer shall exercise professional judgment and due diligence in the representation of the client's interests in Japan Osaka.
- Any dispute arising from the interpretation or performance of this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Osaka District Court.
- The Lawyer shall not be liable for any consequential or indirect damages arising from the legal services rendered, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- This Quotation Estimate is governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan, with particular reference to the provisions applicable in the Osaka prefectural jurisdiction.
