This Quotation Estimate is formally issued by the undersigned Lawyer and the firm of Al-Rashid & Partners Legal Consultancy, duly registered and practising in Kuwait, Kuwait City, to provide the Client with a comprehensive, itemised breakdown of all anticipated professional legal fees, disbursements, and ancillary costs associated with the engagement described herein. This document serves as a binding estimate of costs for the scope of work outlined below and is intended to ensure full transparency between the Lawyer and the Client prior to the commencement of any legal proceedings or advisory services in the jurisdiction of Kuwait.
The Lawyer shall provide the following services in connection with the matter referenced above, all to be conducted in accordance with the laws of the State of Kuwait and the rules of the Kuwait Bar Association:
- Comprehensive legal review and analysis of the disputed commercial supply agreement (approximately 120 pages) executed between the Client and the counterparty.
- Preparation, drafting, and filing of a formal statement of claim before the competent Commercial Court in Kuwait City, including all necessary annexures and supporting documentation.
- Representation of the Client at all preliminary hearings, evidentiary sessions, and final judgment proceedings before the Kuwaiti Commercial Court.
- Preparation of a written legal opinion regarding the enforceability of the arbitration clause contained in Section 14 of the disputed contract under Kuwaiti Law No. 12 of 2000 (Arbitration Law).
- Corporate advisory services for a period of three (3) months, including review of two (2) additional commercial contracts and attendance at one (1) board meeting in Kuwait City.
- Coordination with a licensed Kuwaiti translator for the translation of all Arabic-language court documents into English, and vice versa, as required by the court.
- Preparation of a settlement negotiation strategy and, if applicable, representation at mediation sessions conducted under the Kuwaiti Mediation Law.

Payment of the total estimated fee shall be structured as follows: (a) a non-refundable retainer of 30% (KWD 1,021.50) due upon execution of the engagement letter; (b) a second instalment of 40% (KWD 1,362.90) due upon filing of the statement of claim with the Commercial Court in Kuwait City; and (c) the remaining 30% (KWD 1,022.85) due within fourteen (14) calendar days of the final judgment or settlement. All payments shall be made by bank transfer to the firm's designated account at [Bank Name], Kuwait City branch. The Lawyer reserves the right to suspend all services if any instalment remains outstanding beyond the due date.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, the Lawyer reserves the right to revise all fees and disbursements to reflect current market rates in Kuwait.
- All legal services shall be performed in strict compliance with the Kuwaiti Legal Profession Law, the Code of Professional Conduct of the Kuwait Bar Association, and applicable regulations of the Ministry of Justice in Kuwait City.
- The Lawyer shall maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information, documents, and communications received in connection with this engagement, in accordance with Kuwaiti data protection and professional secrecy obligations.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a guarantee of any particular outcome, judgment, or settlement. The Lawyer shall exercise reasonable professional skill and diligence in the representation of the Client's interests before the courts and tribunals of Kuwait.
- Any dispute arising from the interpretation or performance of this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved by the competent courts of Kuwait City, and the laws of the State of Kuwait shall govern this document.
- The Client acknowledges that the Lawyer may refer specific technical or specialist matters (e.g., tax, immigration, or maritime law) to a co-counsel, and any additional fees for such referral shall be pre-approved in writing by the Client.
- This Quotation Estimate, once signed and accepted by both parties, shall form an integral part of the formal Engagement Letter and shall be binding upon both the Lawyer and the Client.
By signing below, the Client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate, confirms that the scope of services and fee structure have been reviewed and understood, and authorises the Lawyer to commence the legal work described herein in Kuwait, Kuwait City.
