This Quotation Estimate is issued by Meridian & Associates Legal Chambers, a duly registered Lawyer firm practising in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to provide Mr. Tan Wei Keat with a comprehensive and transparent breakdown of the professional legal fees, disbursements, and associated costs for the engagement of our Lawyer services. This document serves as a formal Quotation Estimate in accordance with the Advocates and Solicitors Disciplinary Board guidelines and the fee structures prescribed by the Bar Council of Malaysia. All rates quoted herein reflect the prevailing market standards for legal practice in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and are subject to the terms and conditions set out in Section 6 of this Quotation Estimate.

The following Quotation Estimate covers the full spectrum of legal representation and advisory services to be rendered by our Lawyer team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in connection with the corporate contract dispute matter referenced above. The scope includes but is not limited to the items detailed in the fee schedule below.

Note: This Quotation Estimate is based on the current facts and circumstances as communicated by the client. Should the scope of the legal matter expand, the Lawyer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will issue a supplementary Quotation Estimate prior to incurring any additional costs. All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are exclusive of any Value Added Tax (VAT) where applicable under Malaysian tax law.

The client shall settle the fees outlined in this Quotation Estimate as follows: a retainer of 30% (RM 14,188.50) payable upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; 40% (RM 18,918.00) payable upon filing of the Statement of Claim at the High Court of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and the remaining 30% (RM 14,188.50) payable upon conclusion of trial proceedings. All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the firm's designated account in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Late payments shall attract interest at the rate of 5% per annum as permitted under Malaysian contract law.

This Quotation Estimate shall remain valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue, i.e., until 14 July 2025. Acceptance of this Quotation Estimate constitutes a binding engagement between the client and the Lawyer firm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia. The client is requested to sign and return a copy of this document within the validity period to confirm the engagement.

All legal services rendered under this Quotation Estimate shall be performed in strict compliance with the Legal Profession Act 1976 (Malaysia), the Rules of Professional Conduct and Ethics, and the standards upheld by the Bar Council of Malaysia. The Lawyer and all associated staff in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, shall maintain absolute confidentiality over all client information, documents, and communications in accordance with Section 201 of the Penal Code of Malaysia and the firm's internal data protection policies aligned with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

  1. This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a guarantee of any particular legal outcome. The Lawyer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, shall exercise reasonable professional skill and diligence in the conduct of the matter.
  2. The client shall provide all necessary documents, information, and cooperation promptly. Delays caused by the client may result in additional costs, which will be itemised in a revised Quotation Estimate.
  3. The Lawyer reserves the right to withdraw from the engagement upon thirty (30) days' written notice, subject to the client's right to a full refund of any unearned fees as per Malaysian legal practice standards.
  4. All disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the engagement shall be resolved through mediation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in accordance with the Mediation Centre for Commercial Disputes (MCCD) procedures, before any litigation is commenced.
  5. This Quotation Estimate is the property of Meridian & Associates Legal Chambers and shall not be reproduced or distributed without prior written consent of the Lawyer firm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
