This Quotation Estimate is issued by Van der Berg & Partners Advocaten, a registered law firm practising in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in response to the client's request for professional legal counsel. * All amounts are in Euros (EUR). VAT at the standard Dutch rate of 21% is included. Court filing fees, bailiff costs (deurwaarder), and third-party expert fees are not included in this Quotation Estimate and will be invoiced at actual cost upon incurrence.
The client agrees to the following payment terms as part of this Quotation Estimate for legal services in Amsterdam, Netherlands:
- A retainer fee of 25% of the total estimated amount (€3,743.44 incl. VAT) is due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and prior to the commencement of any legal work.
- Monthly interim invoices will be issued on the last working day of each calendar month for services rendered during that period.
- The final balance, including any adjustments to the estimated hours, shall be invoiced within 14 days of the conclusion of the matter.
- All invoices are payable within 14 calendar days of the invoice date to the firm's bank account: IBAN NL91 ABNA 0417 1643 00, BIC ABNANL2A, reference QE-AMS-2025-0472.
- In the event of non-payment, the Lawyer reserves the right to suspend all ongoing legal proceedings and to charge statutory interest at the rate prescribed by Article 6:119 of the Dutch Civil Code.
Terms Governing This Quotation Estimate
This Quotation Estimate is a good-faith projection of the legal fees and costs anticipated for the matter described. The actual hours and costs may vary depending on the complexity of the dispute, the number of court appearances required, the responsiveness of the opposing party, and any procedural developments before the courts in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Lawyer is not bound by this estimate, and the client acknowledges that the final invoice may differ from the figures presented herein.
This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a guarantee of outcome. The Lawyer will exercise professional diligence in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Dutch Lawyers (Gedragsregels Advocaten) and the rules of the Bar of Amsterdam. The client is advised that legal proceedings in the Netherlands may extend over a period of 12 to 24 months or longer, depending on the court's docket and the nature of the case.
By signing below, the client accepts this Quotation Estimate and authorises the Lawyer to commence the legal services described. This agreement is governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and any disputes arising from this engagement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
