1. Introduction and Scope of Engagement

This Quotation Estimate is issued by Al-Haq & Associates, a duly registered law firm practising in Pakistan Karachi, in response to the written request received from M/s. Karachi Textile Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. for comprehensive legal representation and advisory services. The undersigned Lawyer and legal team have carefully reviewed the preliminary documents, correspondence, and contractual agreements provided by the client to prepare this detailed estimate of professional fees and associated costs.

The scope of engagement as outlined in this Quotation Estimate encompasses the following legal services to be rendered by our Lawyer team in the jurisdiction of Pakistan Karachi:

  • Preparation and filing of a civil suit for breach of contract and recovery of outstanding dues amounting to PKR 4,20,00,000 (Four Crore Twenty Lakh Pakistani Rupees) before the Civil Court of Karachi, Sindh.
  • Drafting, review, and negotiation of all legal pleadings, written statements, replies, and rejoinders as may be required during the pendency of the suit.
  • Representation before the District and Sessions Court, Karachi, and any appellate or revisional forums including the Sindh High Court, Karachi Bench, if the matter is escalated.
  • Issuance of legal notices to the opposing party for pre-litigation settlement and recovery of dues.
  • Advisory services regarding the enforceability of the arbitration clause contained in the original supply agreement dated 12 March 2023.
  • Coordination with the Sindh Bar Council and relevant court registrars for procedural compliance in Pakistan Karachi.
  • Preparation of a comprehensive legal opinion on the tax implications of the disputed transaction under the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, as applicable in Sindh, Pakistan.
2. Fee Structure and Cost Breakdown

The following Quotation Estimate details the professional fees charged by our Lawyer team for the services described above. All fees are quoted in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

Note: The above Quotation Estimate is based on the current factual matrix and available documentation. Should the scope of the matter expand, additional hearings be scheduled, or the opposing party file a counter-claim, the Lawyer team shall issue a supplementary estimate with prior written consent from the client. All rates are subject to revision in accordance with the Sindh Bar Council fee guidelines effective in Pakistan Karachi. 3. Payment Terms
  • An advance payment of 30% (PKR 6,11,088) of the total Quotation Estimate amount shall be due within seven (7) working days of the client's written acceptance of this estimate.
  • The remaining 70% shall be payable in three equal monthly instalments, commencing from the date of filing of the plaint before the Civil Court, Karachi.
  • All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the firm's designated account: Meezan Bank, Clifton Branch, Karachi, Account No. 0045-8821-3377-001, IBAN: PK36MEZN004588213377001.
  • Any delay in payment beyond the stipulated due date shall attract a late fee of 2% per month, and the Lawyer reserves the right to suspend representation until arrears are cleared.
4. Terms and Conditions
  • This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, the fees and rates quoted herein may be revised to reflect prevailing market conditions in Pakistan Karachi.
  • The engagement of our Lawyer team shall be governed by a separate Retainer Agreement to be executed upon the client's acceptance of this estimate.
  • Confidentiality: All documents, information, and communications shared in connection with this matter shall be treated as strictly confidential in accordance with the Advocates Act, 1964, and the professional ethics code of the Sindh Bar Council.
  • The Lawyer shall not be liable for any adverse court decision, as legal outcomes are inherently uncertain. Fees are non-refundable once professional time has been expended.
  • This estimate does not constitute a guarantee of any particular legal outcome. The Lawyer shall exercise reasonable professional diligence in representing the client's interests in Pakistan Karachi.
  • Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the engagement itself shall be resolved through arbitration in Karachi, Sindh, in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1940.
  • Governing Law: This document and the engagement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, with exclusive jurisdiction vested in the courts of Karachi, Sindh.
5. Acceptance and Authorization

By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and fee structure outlined herein for the engagement of the undersigned Lawyer and legal team in Pakistan Karachi.
