This Quotation Estimate is issued by Van der Merwe & Associates Attorneys, a registered law firm operating in Johannesburg, South Africa, in accordance with the Legal Practice Act 28 of 2014 and the rules of the Legal Practice Council. All amounts are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). VAT is applied at the current South African rate of 15% as prescribed by the South African Revenue Service (SARS). This Quotation Estimate is an estimate only and does not constitute a fixed-fee agreement unless expressly stated in a separate retainer agreement.
3. Terms and Conditions of This Quotation Estimate- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, the lawyer and firm reserve the right to revise the rates and terms contained herein.
- The fees set out in this Quotation Estimate are estimates based on the current scope of work. Should the matter expand in complexity, duration, or scope, the lawyer will issue a supplementary Quotation Estimate for the additional services rendered.
- Payment terms: A retainer of 25% of the total Quotation Estimate amount (R 45,611.88 including VAT) is due upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. The remaining balance shall be invoiced monthly in arrears, with payment due within fourteen (14) days of invoice date.
- All legal advice, documents, and work product prepared by the lawyer in Johannesburg, South Africa, shall remain the confidential property of the client, subject to the attorney-client privilege as protected under South African law.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a guarantee of any particular outcome in the matter. The lawyer will exercise reasonable professional skill and diligence in the conduct of the legal proceedings.
- The client acknowledges that this Quotation Estimate is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa, Johannesburg Local Division.
- The lawyer reserves the right to withdraw from the matter upon providing thirty (30) days' written notice, in which case a pro-rata adjustment to the Quotation Estimate will be made for services not yet rendered.
- This Quotation Estimate is subject to the firm's standard terms of engagement, which the client shall sign upon acceptance. A copy of those terms is available at our Sandton office in Johannesburg.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate for legal services in Johannesburg, South Africa, and agrees to the terms, conditions, and estimated fees set out herein.
