Scope of Services – Librarian EngagementThis Quotation Estimate covers the full-time engagement of a certified Librarian with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in academic and public library management. The Librarian will be stationed at the Kuwait National Library & Archives Authority premises in Kuwait Kuwait City and will be responsible for the following duties:
- Management and cataloguing of physical and digital collections in accordance with international library standards (MARC, Dublin Core, and Kuwaiti national archival guidelines).
- Development and implementation of information retrieval systems to enhance patron access to resources within the Kuwait Kuwait City library network.
- Supervision of a team of six (6) junior library assistants and paraprofessional staff.
- Coordination of inter-library loan agreements with institutions across Kuwait and the GCC region.
- Organization of community reading programmes, author events, and educational workshops for residents of Kuwait Kuwait City.
- Annual assessment and reporting on collection development, usage statistics, and budget utilization.
- Compliance with Kuwaiti data protection regulations and the National Archives Act regarding the handling of sensitive documents.

- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Any acceptance beyond this period may be subject to revised pricing due to market fluctuations in Kuwait Kuwait City.
- All payments shall be made in Kuwaiti Dinars (KWD) via bank transfer to Al-Salem Knowledge Solutions LLC, National Bank of Kuwait, Account No. 0045-8821-7736. Payment terms are Net 30 days from the date of invoice issuance.
- The Librarian engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to Kuwaiti labour law and shall hold a valid work permit and residence visa. All visa and work permit costs are included in the unit pricing above.
- Al-Salem Knowledge Solutions LLC reserves the right to substitute the assigned Librarian with a professional of equivalent or superior qualifications, subject to prior written approval by the client in Kuwait Kuwait City.
- Any additional services beyond the scope defined in this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to a separate written amendment and additional cost assessment.
- All intellectual property, catalogued data, and reports generated during the engagement shall remain the sole property of the Kuwait National Library & Archives Authority.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal service agreement is executed by both parties.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent service agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait and shall be resolved through the competent courts in Kuwait Kuwait City.
