This Quotation Estimate is formally submitted by Indian Ocean Marine Engineering Ltd. in response to the request for professional Marine Engineer services required by the Tanzania Ports Authority for the maintenance, inspection, and operational support of marine infrastructure at the port facilities in Tanzania Dar es Salaam. Each Marine Engineer assigned under this Quotation Estimate shall hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a closely related discipline, supplemented by a minimum of eight (8) years of practical experience in port and harbour engineering. All personnel shall be registered with the Engineering Council of Tanzania (ECT) and shall comply with the Tanzania Marine and Ports Authority (TMPA) licensing requirements. Our lead Marine Engineer, Mr. Hassan M. Juma, holds a Master's degree in Offshore & Marine Structures from the University of Dar es Salaam and is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), United Kingdom.
- Payment Schedule: 30% advance upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; 40% upon completion of the mid-term inspection phase; 30% upon final delivery of all reports and handover documentation.
- Payment Method: Bank transfer to the account of Indian Ocean Marine Engineering Ltd., National Bank of Commerce, Dar es Salaam Branch, Account No. 0045-8821-3376.
- Payment Currency: All amounts shall be settled in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS). For international sub-contractors, a USD equivalent shall be applied at the Bank of Tanzania mid-rate on the date of invoicing.
- Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Prices are subject to revision upon expiry due to fluctuations in fuel, materials, and labour costs in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
- Warranty: All repair and maintenance work performed by our Marine Engineer team carries a twelve-month defect liability period from the date of sign-off by the Tanzania Ports Authority.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, in accordance with the Arbitration Act, Cap. 20, Laws of Tanzania.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by cyclones, monsoon flooding, government-imposed port closures, or other events beyond reasonable control, as commonly experienced in the Tanzania Dar es Salaam coastal region.
By signing below, the Tanzania Ports Authority acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and confirms its acceptance of the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined herein for the provision of Marine Engineer services at the Tanzania Dar es Salaam port facilities. This document, once countersigned, shall constitute a binding agreement between the parties.
