This Quotation Estimate is formally issued by East African Marine Engineering Solutions Ltd. to Nile River Transport & Logistics Co. Ltd. for the provision of comprehensive Marine Engineer services to be executed in and around Uganda Kampala and the surrounding Lake Victoria waterways. The scope of this engagement covers the full-cycle technical support required for the client's fleet of three (3) cargo barges and two (2) passenger ferries operating on the Kampala–Mbarara and Kampala–Bujumbura routes. The Marine Engineer team assigned to this project will be responsible for scheduled preventive maintenance, emergency breakdown response, annual statutory inspections, and the procurement and installation of replacement components as identified during routine surveys.

- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, pricing may be revised to reflect changes in material costs, exchange rates, or labour market conditions in Uganda Kampala.
- Payment terms: 40% advance payment upon acceptance of this quotation, 40% upon completion of the mid-term milestone (month 6), and 20% upon final project closure and submission of the closing report by the Marine Engineer team.
- All payments shall be made in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) via bank transfer to the account details provided on the official invoice. The client is responsible for any bank charges on their end.
- The Marine Engineer services described herein are subject to the availability of qualified personnel. In the event of unforeseen absence, a suitably qualified replacement will be assigned without additional cost.
- Emergency call-out charges (Ref 03) are estimated at ten (10) incidents per annum. Any call-outs beyond this threshold will be billed at the stated unit rate and invoiced separately.
- All work shall comply with the regulations of the Marine Safety Authority (MSA) of Uganda and the applicable International Maritime Organization (IMO) conventions as adopted by the Ugandan government.
- The Quotation Estimate does not include costs for vessel dry-docking, which shall be arranged and paid for separately by the client at the Uganda Kampala dry-dock facility.
- Warranty: All mechanical repairs and component installations performed by our Marine Engineer team carry a standard warranty of six (6) months from the date of completion, covering workmanship only.
- Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through arbitration in Uganda Kampala in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Uganda.
- This document constitutes a formal Quotation Estimate and does not form a binding contract until a signed Purchase Order or Service Agreement is exchanged between both parties.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, scope, and pricing outlined for the Marine Engineer services to be delivered in Uganda Kampala and the designated waterway routes.
