This Quotation Estimate reflects our understanding of the project scope as discussed during the site visit conducted on 28 May 2025 at the client's facility in the Birmingham, United Kingdom area. Should any aspect of the scope require modification after acceptance of this Quotation Estimate, a formal variation order will be issued prior to any additional work commencing.

The Mechanical Engineer assigned to this project will hold Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and will possess a minimum of twelve years of post-qualification experience in heavy industrial plant design, thermodynamic system analysis, and rotating equipment commissioning. The scope of work encompasses the following deliverables, all to be executed within the United Kingdom Birmingham region:

• Full mechanical design and 3D CAD modelling of a new high-pressure steam distribution manifold (operating at 120 bar, 350°C) for the client's foundry operations.
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and stress verification of all pressure-containing components in accordance with BS 3602 and the UK Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000.
• Thermodynamic performance modelling and energy efficiency assessment of the existing boiler house plant, with recommendations for a minimum 15% reduction in specific fuel consumption.
• Selection, specification, and procurement oversight of two (2) new centrifugal feed pumps (rated 450 m³/h at 85 m head) including all associated mechanical seals, coupling assemblies, and vibration monitoring systems.
• Preparation of a complete commissioning and handover package, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and statutory inspection certificates required by the UK Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspection Scheme (BPV).

Payment against this Quotation Estimate shall be made by direct bank transfer to Meridian Engineering Solutions Ltd. within thirty (30) calendar days of the date of invoice. The payment schedule is structured as follows:

• Milestone 1 (30%): Upon written acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and execution of the master services agreement — GBP 19,245.60 (incl. VAT).
• Milestone 2 (40%): Upon delivery and client approval of all design, FEA, and thermodynamic deliverables — GBP 25,660.80 (incl. VAT).
• Milestone 3 (30%): Upon completion of on-site commissioning and handover of the final documentation package at the Birmingham, United Kingdom site — GBP 19,245.60 (incl. VAT).

Late payments shall attract interest at a rate of 4% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 as applicable in the United Kingdom.

This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of issue. All rates are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of the Mechanical Engineer's professional fees, insurance, and standard overheads. This Quotation Estimate does not include the cost of third-party materials, equipment, or specialist subcontractor services unless explicitly stated in the itemised table above.

All work performed by the Mechanical Engineer under this Quotation Estimate shall be carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and all applicable UK statutory requirements. The client shall provide a suitable working environment, site access, and all necessary permits for the Mechanical Engineer to operate safely within the Birmingham, United Kingdom facility.

Intellectual property rights in all design documents, FEA models, and reports produced under this Quotation Estimate shall vest in the client upon full payment. Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of Birmingham, United Kingdom shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
