The Mechatronics Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall perform the following duties and deliverables:
- Design and development of a fully integrated mechatronic control system combining mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software components for the client's packaging and assembly line.
- Selection, procurement oversight, and installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), servo drives, industrial sensors, actuators, and human-machine interface (HMI) panels.
- Programming and configuration of SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and data logging of production parameters.
- Commissioning, calibration, and performance testing of the complete mechatronic system in the client's facility located in Uganda Kampala.
- Preparation of technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, software source code, and operator training manuals.
- Provision of a 12-month post-commissioning maintenance and technical support package, with on-site visits to the Uganda Kampala facility as required.
- Training of up to eight (8) client personnel in system operation, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance procedures.

- 30% Advance Payment: UGX 25,063,200 – due within seven (7) working days of acceptance of this Quotation Estimate and execution of the service agreement.
- 40% Milestone Payment: UGX 33,417,600 – due upon successful commissioning and handover of the mechatronic system at the Uganda Kampala facility.
- 30% Final Payment: UGX 25,063,200 – due upon completion of the training programme and delivery of all technical documentation.
- The 12-month maintenance retainer (UGX 21,600,000 + VAT) shall be invoiced quarterly in advance.
- All payments shall be made via bank transfer to the account details provided in the accompanying invoice. Late payments shall attract interest at 2% per month as per Ugandan commercial law.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. After the expiry date, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Uganda Kampala.
- The Mechatronics Engineer shall adhere to all applicable Ugandan industrial safety standards, the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) regulations, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (Cap. 256).
- The client shall provide a safe, accessible work environment, necessary permits, and all third-party hardware at the project site in Uganda Kampala prior to the commencement of installation activities.
- Intellectual property rights in all custom software, control logic, and design documentation developed under this engagement shall vest in the client upon full payment.
- Any changes to the scope of work beyond the parameters described in this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to a formal variation order and additional cost assessment.
- Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through mediation in Uganda Kampala, and failing that, through the courts of competent jurisdiction in Uganda.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until both parties have signed and exchanged copies of the formal Service Agreement.
