3.1 This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, all rates and availability of the designated Medical Researcher must be reconfirmed in writing.
3.2 Payment terms: 50% deposit upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; remaining 50% payable in equal monthly instalments over the twelve-month engagement period. All payments are due within fourteen (14) days of invoice date.
3.3 The Medical Researcher shall comply with all Australian privacy legislation, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), particularly regarding the handling of human research participant data within Australia Melbourne.
3.4 All intellectual property generated during the course of this engagement shall be jointly owned by Meridian Clinical Research Solutions Pty Ltd and the Royal Melbourne Hospital Research Institute, as stipulated in the separate Intellectual Property Agreement (IP-2025-0472).
3.5 Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days written notice. In the event of early termination, the Medical Researcher shall be compensated for all services rendered up to the termination date, plus a 10% wind-down fee.
3.6 This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until countersigned by both parties. All services are subject to the execution of a formal Service Agreement.
3.7 The Medical Researcher is engaged as an independent contractor and not as an employee of the client organisation. The Medical Researcher is responsible for their own tax obligations in accordance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements applicable in Australia Melbourne.
3.8 Any variation to the scope of work outlined in this Quotation Estimate must be agreed upon in writing by both parties prior to commencement of the additional work. A supplementary Quotation Estimate will be issued for any such variations.
4. AcceptanceBy signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined herein for the engagement of a Medical Researcher based in Australia Melbourne.
