2. Purpose and Scope of This Quotation Estimate
This Quotation Estimate is issued to provide a comprehensive and itemised financial projection for the engagement of a qualified Medical Researcher to conduct a twelve-month longitudinal clinical study on autoimmune disease progression among Māori and Pacific Islander populations in the New Zealand Wellington region. The scope encompasses all personnel costs, laboratory consumables, data management infrastructure, ethical compliance administration, and reporting deliverables as outlined in the attached Statement of Work (Appendix A).
The Medical Researcher engaged under this Quotation Estimate will hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Clinical Medicine or Biomedical Sciences, with at least five years of post-qualification experience in human-subject research. The researcher will be based at the Wellington Regional Health Research Institute facility and will operate under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Sarah Mitchell, in full compliance with the New Zealand Health Research Ethics Committee (HREC) guidelines and the Health Information Privacy Code 1994.

5. Terms and Conditions
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Upon expiry, all rates and availability of the Medical Researcher must be reconfirmed in writing.
- All work performed under this engagement will be conducted within the New Zealand Wellington metropolitan area unless prior written approval is obtained for travel to other regions of New Zealand.
- The Medical Researcher will be engaged as a contractor of Wellington Clinical Research Associates Ltd. and will not be deemed an employee of the Client. All employment obligations, including KiwiSaver, ACC, and income tax withholding, remain the responsibility of the Provider.
- Intellectual property generated during the course of this research project shall be jointly owned by the Provider and the Client, subject to a separate Intellectual Property Agreement to be executed prior to commencement.
- Confidentiality obligations under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code 1994 apply to all participant data, research findings, and proprietary methodologies. Breach of confidentiality will result in immediate termination and legal action.
- Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of early termination, the Client shall pay for all services rendered and non-cancellable commitments incurred up to the termination date.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved in accordance with the New Zealand Disputes Resolution Act 2023, with jurisdiction vested in the District Court of Wellington.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until countersigned by both parties and accompanied by a fully executed Statement of Work and Ethics Approval Certificate from the relevant HREC.
6. Acceptance and Authorisation
By signing below, both parties acknowledge that this Quotation Estimate accurately reflects the agreed scope, cost, and terms for the engagement of the Medical Researcher in the New Zealand Wellington region. This document, once executed, forms the financial annexure to the Master Research Services Agreement dated 1 July 2025.
