This Quotation Estimate is issued by MedResearch Solutions (Pty) Ltd to provide a comprehensive, itemised cost breakdown for the engagement of a qualified Medical Researcher to support the University of Johannesburg's Faculty of Health Sciences in conducting a multi-site epidemiological study and clinical trial data analysis programme. The Medical Researcher will be based in South Africa Johannesburg and will operate under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. This Quotation Estimate stipulates the following payment schedule. All payments are to be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the bank account of MedResearch Solutions (Pty) Ltd. Invoices will be issued monthly in arrears. A 50% mobilisation payment is due within 14 days of acceptance of this Quotation Estimate. The remaining balance will be invoiced monthly. Late payments will attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month as per the National Credit Act, South Africa. All amounts are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of the applicable 15% Value Added Tax (VAT) as registered in South Africa Johannesburg.

This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Thereafter, pricing may be subject to revision due to market fluctuations, exchange rate changes, or regulatory adjustments within South Africa Johannesburg.
The Medical Researcher engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall be bound by the University of Johannesburg's Code of Research Ethics, the South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) guidelines, and all applicable national legislation including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the National Health Act (Act 61 of 2003).
All intellectual property, data, and publications arising from the engagement of the Medical Researcher shall be jointly owned by MedResearch Solutions (Pty) Ltd and the University of Johannesburg, as per the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The Medical Researcher shall maintain professional indemnity insurance of no less than R5,000,000 for the duration of the project, with the University of Johannesburg named as an additional insured party.
Any variation in scope beyond 10% of the original Quotation Estimate value must be approved in writing by both parties before additional work commences. A supplementary Quotation Estimate will be issued for any such variation.
The Medical Researcher shall submit monthly progress reports to the Principal Investigator and a final comprehensive research report upon project completion. All reports shall be submitted in English, the official working language of the University of Johannesburg.
Confidentiality: All patient data, research findings, and proprietary methodologies accessed by the Medical Researcher in South Africa Johannesburg shall be treated as strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed to any third party without written consent.
Termination: Either party may terminate this engagement with thirty (30) days' written notice. In the event of termination, the Medical Researcher shall be compensated for all work completed up to the termination date, as detailed in this Quotation Estimate.
Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Johannesburg, South Africa, in accordance with the rules of the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA).
