The Medical Researcher will be based in Tanzania Dar es Salaam and will operate primarily from the NIMR headquarters at Mbezi Beach Road, with fieldwork extending to the coastal districts of Kinondoni, Ilala, and Temeke.

The primary deliverables include: (a) design and implementation of a cross-sectional survey of no fewer than 2,500 participants across three health facilities in Tanzania Dar es Salaam; (b) laboratory coordination with the National Reference Laboratory for sample processing; (c) data management, statistical analysis, and peer-reviewed manuscript preparation; (d) two (2) interim progress reports and one (1) final comprehensive research report; and (e) a public dissemination workshop to be held at the University of Dar es Salaam, Faculty of Medicine.

Payment for the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be disbursed in four (4) tranches linked to verified milestones:

Tranche 1 (30%): TZS 261,100,500 – upon contract signing and Ethics Committee approval (January 2025).
Tranche 2 (30%): TZS 261,100,500 – upon completion of participant recruitment and 50% of data collection (May 2025).
Tranche 3 (30%): TZS 261,100,500 – upon submission of the interim report and completion of laboratory analysis (September 2025).
Tranche 4 (10%): TZS 87,033,500 – upon delivery of the final research report, manuscript, and dissemination workshop (December 2025).

This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all costs are subject to revision based on prevailing market rates in Tanzania Dar es Salaam.
All payments shall be made in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) via bank transfer to the account of East African Medical Research & Consulting Ltd., National Bank of Commerce, Dar es Salaam Branch.
The Medical Researcher and all research personnel shall comply with the Tanzania Health Research Ethics Guidelines (2019) and the Data Protection Act (No. 6 of 2022).
Intellectual property arising from the research shall be jointly owned by the commissioning institution and the Medical Researcher, as stipulated in the separate Research Collaboration Agreement.
Any force majeure event, including but not limited to public health emergencies, government travel restrictions, or natural disasters affecting Tanzania Dar es Salaam, shall entitle either party to suspend obligations without penalty, subject to written notice within fourteen (14) days.
Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved through mediation under the Tanzania Arbitration Act (No. 12 of 2000), with the seat of arbitration in Dar es Salaam.
The Medical Researcher shall maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum coverage of TZS 500,000,000 for the duration of the engagement.

By signing below, both parties acknowledge that this Quotation Estimate accurately reflects the agreed-upon scope, cost, and terms for the engagement of the Medical Researcher in Tanzania Dar es Salaam. This document, once countersigned, shall serve as the financial annex to the master service agreement.
