This Quotation Estimate is issued by Highveld Atmospheric Sciences (Pty) Ltd to provide Veldt & Ridge Construction Group (Pty) Ltd with a comprehensive, itemised cost breakdown for the engagement of a senior Meteorologist to deliver specialised weather intelligence, risk assessment, and operational forecasting services for the client's infrastructure development projects located in and around South Africa Johannesburg. This Quotation Estimate covers a twelve-month service period commencing 1 July 2025 and is structured to ensure full transparency regarding all fees, deliverables, and associated costs.

The Meteorologist engaged under this Quotation Estimate will hold a minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional experience in operational meteorology, with specific expertise in the climatic patterns, seasonal variability, and extreme weather events characteristic of the Gauteng province and the broader South Africa Johannesburg metropolitan region. The Meteorologist will be responsible for producing daily, weekly, and monthly weather briefings tailored to the client's construction timelines, logistics planning, and environmental compliance obligations.

The Meteorologist will provide the following services throughout the contract period as outlined in this Quotation Estimate:

• Daily operational weather forecasts (issued by 05:00 SAST) specific to all active project sites within South Africa Johannesburg, including Sandton, Midrand, Randburg, and the West Rand corridor.
• Weekly meteorological risk assessments addressing thunderstorm probability, wind speed thresholds, rainfall accumulation, and lightning risk for heavy machinery operations.
• Monthly climate outlook reports aligned with the South African Weather Service (SAWS) seasonal forecasts, providing guidance on El Niño / La Niña impacts on the South Africa Johannesburg region.
• Ad-hoc severe weather alerts via SMS, email, and dedicated mobile application within fifteen (15) minutes of model confirmation.
• Two (2) on-site meteorological briefings per month at the client's primary project headquarters in South Africa Johannesburg.
• Annual extreme weather vulnerability study for all client-held properties within the Johannesburg metropolitan area.
• Support with environmental impact assessment (EIA) documentation requiring meteorological data, in compliance with the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) of South Africa.

Payment for the services detailed in this Quotation Estimate shall be made in monthly instalments of ZAR 149,730.00 (inclusive of VAT), due within fourteen (14) calendar days of the invoice date. The initial invoice will be issued on 1 July 2025. A 10% deposit of ZAR 179,676.00 is required prior to the commencement of services. Late payments will attract interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, in accordance with the Late Payment of Interest Act 15 of 2011 (South Africa).
