- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to revision upon expiry.
- A deposit of 30% (R 17 491.50) is required to secure the midwife's availability for the expected delivery date. The deposit is non-refundable if cancellation occurs fewer than fourteen (14) days before the EDD.
- The remaining balance is payable within seven (7) business days following the postnatal care completion. Payment may be made via EFT to the practice's FNB account (Account No: 6284 5501 992, Branch: 250655) or by direct medical aid claim submission to Discovery Health.
- Where the client's medical aid or insurance provider covers a portion of the midwife services, the client is responsible for any co-payment, gap, or non-covered items as per their policy terms in South Africa.
- All midwife services are governed by the South African National Health Act (Act No. 61 of 2003) and the SACMA Code of Professional Conduct. The midwife reserves the right to refer the client to a Cape Town obstetric hospital (e.g., Cape Town Hospital, Groote Schuur, or a private facility) if clinical indications warrant specialist intervention.
- Home birth services are conducted in compliance with the Western Cape Department of Health guidelines for out-of-hospital births. The client must provide a safe, clean, and accessible environment as assessed during the initial midwife consultation.
- This Quotation Estimate does not include costs for anaesthetic services, surgical interventions (e.g., caesarean section), neonatal intensive care, or any emergency hospital admission. Such costs will be quoted separately by the relevant hospital or specialist in Cape Town.
- All personal health information is handled in strict accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), South Africa, 2013.
