Scope of Services – Musician EngagementThe following Quotation Estimate covers the engagement of a professional Musician (or ensemble) for live performance in the South Africa Cape Town metropolitan area. The services include pre-event sound checks, live performance, and post-event equipment breakdown. All performances will take place at venues within the Cape Town city centre, Southern Suburbs, or Atlantic Seaboard unless otherwise specified in writing.

All amounts are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). VAT at 15% is included as per South African Revenue Service (SARS) regulations. This Quotation Estimate is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Terms and Conditions- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Should the client wish to proceed after the validity period, a revised estimate may be required to reflect any changes in the Musician's availability or prevailing market rates in South Africa Cape Town.
- A non-refundable deposit of fifty percent (50%) of the total amount, i.e., R 28,922.50, is required to secure the Musician's booking. The remaining balance is due within seven (7) business days following the final performance date.
- All Musician services are subject to the availability of the performer. In the event of illness or unforeseen circumstances, Cape Town Sound & Performance Services will make every reasonable effort to provide a substitute Musician of equivalent calibre and genre expertise.
- Travel within the South Africa Cape Town metropolitan area (including the Atlantic Seaboard, Southern Suburbs, Central City, and Northern Suburbs) is included in the quoted travel allowance. Travel to venues outside this radius (e.g., Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, or the Overberg) will be quoted separately.
- The client is responsible for providing a suitable performance space, adequate power supply (minimum 2 x 20A circuits), and a safe working environment for the Musician and technical crew. The venue must comply with all South African Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements.
- Performance hours are calculated from the commencement of the sound check. Overtime beyond the agreed duration will be charged at 1.5 times the hourly rate specified in this Quotation Estimate.
- All musical compositions performed are subject to copyright. The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary performing rights licences (e.g., through SAMRO or CAPRISA) for public performances in South Africa Cape Town.
- Cancellation by the client more than fourteen (14) days before the event will result in a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellation within fourteen (14) days will result in forfeiture of the full deposit. Cancellation within seventy-two (72) hours will incur a 100% charge.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until signed and returned by both parties. Upon acceptance, a formal service agreement will be issued for execution.
- Any disputes arising from this engagement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the parties agree to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate's Court in Cape Town.
