1. Scope of Work and Professional Services
This Quotation Estimate is issued by Pacific Marine Sciences & Consulting Ltda. to provide comprehensive professional services rendered by a certified Oceanographer for the assessment, monitoring, and environmental impact evaluation of coastal and marine systems relevant to the client's infrastructure development project in the Chile Santiago metropolitan region and its associated coastal corridors. The Oceanographer engaged under this contract will hold a Doctorate in Marine Sciences from the Universidad de Chile and possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of field experience in Pacific Oceanographic research, with specific expertise in the hydrodynamic, biological, and chemical characterization of Chilean coastal waters.
The services outlined in this Quotation Estimate are designed to comply with all applicable Chilean environmental regulations, including those established by the Servicio de Evaluación Ambiental (SEA), the Subsecretaría de Marina, and the Comisión Nacional de Medio Ambiente (CONAMA). All fieldwork and laboratory analysis will be conducted in accordance with the technical standards required for projects operating within the Chile Santiago jurisdiction and its extended coastal influence zones.

3. Terms and Conditions of This Quotation Estimate
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all prices and availability of the Oceanographer and supporting staff are subject to revision.
- Payment terms: 30% advance upon contract signing, 40% upon delivery of the Environmental Impact Report, and 30% upon completion of the 12-month monitoring period. All payments shall be made in Chilean Pesos (CLP) via bank transfer to the account designated by Pacific Marine Sciences & Consulting Ltda.
- The Oceanographer and all technical personnel assigned to this project shall comply with all occupational health and safety regulations applicable in Chile Santiago and throughout the Republic of Chile.
- All data, reports, and deliverables produced under this engagement shall remain the exclusive intellectual property of the client upon full payment. The Oceanographer retains the right to publish anonymized scientific findings in peer-reviewed journals, subject to prior written approval from the client.
- Any changes to the scope of work, additional field days, or extended monitoring periods beyond those specified in this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to a formal change order and additional cost assessment agreed upon by both parties.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal service agreement is executed by both parties. The terms herein are indicative and subject to final contractual negotiation.
- All services will be performed in compliance with Chilean Law No. 19,300 (Environmental Bases Law) and its amendments, as well as all municipal regulations applicable to the Chile Santiago metropolitan area and coastal jurisdictions.
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to severe weather conditions affecting Pacific Oceanographic operations, seismic activity, or government-mandated work stoppages, shall extend the project timeline proportionally without penalty to either party.
4. Acceptance and Authorization
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined herein for the engagement of the Oceanographer and associated professional services in Chile Santiago and its coastal territories.
