1. Purpose and Scope of This Quotation Estimate

This Quotation Estimate is formally issued by Mediterranean Marine Research & Consulting Ltd. to provide a comprehensive, itemized financial projection for the engagement of a qualified Oceanographer and supporting marine science team to deliver specialized oceanographic services within the jurisdiction of Egypt Alexandria. The scope encompasses hydrographic surveys, coastal water quality monitoring, sediment analysis, marine biodiversity assessment, and environmental impact studies directly related to the port operations, coastal erosion management, and sustainable development initiatives currently underway in Egypt Alexandria.

The Oceanographer engaged under this Quotation Estimate will hold a minimum of a Doctorate in Oceanography or Marine Science, possess no fewer than ten (10) years of field experience in Mediterranean marine environments, and demonstrate proven expertise in the specific tidal, current, and bathymetric conditions characteristic of the Egypt Alexandria coastline. All deliverables will comply with Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) regulations, the Egyptian Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation standards, and applicable International Maritime Organization (IMO) guidelines.

3. Payment Schedule

This Quotation Estimate stipulates the following payment milestones, all denominated in Egyptian Pounds (EGP):

  • Advance Payment (25%): EGP 3,597,840 — due within 15 business days of contract signature, prior to commencement of the Oceanographer engagement in Egypt Alexandria.
  • Progress Payment 1 (25%): EGP 3,597,840 — due upon completion of the first six (6) months of fieldwork and submission of the interim technical report.
  • Progress Payment 2 (25%): EGP 3,597,840 — due upon completion of the second six (6) months and delivery of the EIA report and final data set.
  • Final Payment (25%): EGP 3,597,840 — due within 30 days of acceptance of the comprehensive final report and all supporting documentation by the client.

4. Terms and Conditions

  1. This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all pricing is subject to revision due to fluctuations in fuel costs, vessel charter rates, and the Egyptian Pound exchange rate.
  2. The Oceanographer and all supporting personnel shall be subject to Egyptian labour law and shall hold valid work permits issued by the Ministry of Manpower and Immigration for operations in Egypt Alexandria.
  3. All data, reports, and intellectual property generated under this engagement shall become the sole property of the client upon full payment. The Oceanographer retains the right to publish anonymized scientific findings in peer-reviewed journals, subject to a 90-day prior review by the client.
  4. Force majeure events, including but not limited to severe Mediterranean storms, political instability, or government-imposed maritime restrictions in Egypt Alexandria, shall suspend the project timeline without penalty to either party.
  5. Any variation in scope exceeding 10% of the total Quotation Estimate value must be agreed in writing by both parties before additional work commences.
  6. Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate shall be resolved through arbitration in Egypt Alexandria in accordance with the rules of the Egyptian Arbitration Centre.
  7. The Oceanographer shall maintain continuous professional development and shall notify the client in writing of any conflict of interest that may affect the objectivity of the marine assessments conducted in Egypt Alexandria.

5. Acceptance and Authorization

By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and authorizes Mediterranean Marine Research & Consulting Ltd. to proceed with the engagement of the Oceanographer and associated marine science services in Egypt Alexandria as described herein.
