1. Scope of Work & Description
This Quotation Estimate is issued by MarineScience Consulting GmbH to formally outline the professional services to be rendered by a senior Oceanographer engaged for the Baltic Sea Coastal Monitoring Programme. The Oceanographer will be based in Germany Berlin for the duration of the contract and will provide expert consultation, field data collection, laboratory analysis, and comprehensive reporting in accordance with the standards set by the European Marine Observation and Data Network (EMODnet) and the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN).
The Oceanographer's responsibilities under this Quotation Estimate include, but are not limited to: conducting hydrographic surveys of designated coastal zones; performing water quality sampling and chemical analysis (pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity, nutrient concentrations, and trace metal detection); operating and maintaining CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, Depth) profilers and ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler) instruments; producing monthly and quarterly progress reports; attending stakeholder meetings in Germany Berlin; and delivering a final comprehensive oceanographic assessment report with actionable recommendations for coastal management authorities.

3. Terms & Conditions of This Quotation Estimate
- Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of issue. After this period, all rates and availability of the Oceanographer must be reconfirmed in writing.
- Payment Terms: Payment shall be made in quarterly instalments of 25% each, due within thirty (30) days of invoice date. A 10% mobilisation advance is required upon contract signature to secure the Oceanographer's availability in Germany Berlin.

- Scope Changes: Any modification to the scope of work outlined in this Quotation Estimate must be agreed upon in writing by both parties. Additional oceanographic fieldwork or extended laboratory analyses will be billed at the unit rates specified above.
- Confidentiality: The Oceanographer and all supporting personnel are bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in compliance with German data protection regulations (DSGVO / GDPR). All marine data collected shall remain the property of the client.
- Insurance & Liability: MarineScience Consulting GmbH maintains professional liability insurance with a coverage of €5,000,000. The Oceanographer's fieldwork is covered under marine operations insurance. The client is responsible for any third-party permits required for coastal access in Germany.
- Termination: Either party may terminate the engagement with sixty (60) days written notice. In the event of early termination, all services rendered up to the termination date shall be invoiced in full.
- Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting contract shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in Berlin, Germany.
4. Acceptance & Authorisation
By signing below, the client acknowledges and accepts this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of the Oceanographer for the specified project in Germany Berlin. This signature constitutes a binding agreement to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined herein.
