The Oceanographer will be made available for a 21-day survey window commencing on 15 September 2025, departing from the port of Kiel. The vessel will return to Rostock on 5 October 2025. All project coordination meetings prior to departure will be conducted at the client's facilities in Germany Munich, with the project manager and lead oceanographer travelling from Hamburg to Munich for the pre-campaign planning workshop scheduled for 8–10 September 2025. Final data delivery and a debriefing presentation will take place at the client's campus in Germany Munich within 30 calendar days of the vessel's return.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of 90 days from the date of issue. Any acceptance beyond this period will require revalidation of all pricing, particularly fuel surcharges and crew availability for the Oceanographer.
- Payment terms: 30% advance payment upon contract signature, 40% upon completion of the survey at sea, and 30% upon final data delivery and acceptance by the client in Germany Munich.
- All prices are quoted in Euro (EUR) and are subject to the German standard VAT rate of 19%. No additional customs or cross-border fees apply as both parties are registered within the European Union.
- The Oceanographer operates under the German Flag and complies with all IMO, IHO, and German maritime safety regulations. The vessel holds a valid Class Certificate from Germanischer Lloyd.
- Weather-related delays exceeding 48 hours will be documented and may result in a pro-rata adjustment to the daily charter rate. The client will be notified within 24 hours of any such event.
- All raw and processed survey data remain the intellectual property of the client (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany Munich) upon full payment. The service provider retains the right to use anonymised data for internal quality assurance purposes only.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal service agreement is executed by both parties. The terms herein are indicative and subject to final contractual negotiation.
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to severe weather, port closures, or governmental restrictions, will be handled in accordance with the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or any resulting contract shall be resolved by the competent courts in Munich, Germany.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms outlined herein. The service provider confirms the availability of the Oceanographer for the stated period and commits to delivering all services in accordance with the specifications described in this document.
