The Oceanographer will be based in India Mumbai for the duration of the contract and will report directly to the Project Director at the Coastal Infrastructure Development Authority office in Bandra-Kurla Complex. No payment shall be due for work not yet commenced or for which the deliverable has not been formally accepted in writing.

• This Quotation Estimate assumes normal monsoon and non-monsoon weather conditions in India Mumbai. Delays exceeding 72 hours due to cyclonic activity or extreme weather events in the Arabian Sea will be treated as force majeure and will extend the project timeline proportionally without additional cost.
• The Oceanographer and support team shall be provided with a dedicated workspace at the client’s Bandra-Kurla Complex office. No separate office lease cost is included in this estimate.
• Costs for obtaining NOCs from the Mumbai Port Trust, the Indian Navy (for offshore survey zones), and the Directorate of Fisheries are excluded and shall be borne by the client.
• All data collected by the Oceanographer team during the engagement shall become the exclusive property of the Coastal Infrastructure Development Authority upon final payment.

• This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates, particularly vessel charter and equipment costs, are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in India Mumbai.
• The Oceanographer named in this proposal is Dr. Ananya Deshmukh, PhD (Physical Oceanography, IIT Kharagpur), with 18 years of experience in Indian coastal and offshore marine studies. In the event of her unavailability, an equally qualified replacement will be proposed and must be approved in writing by the client before substitution.

• Disputes arising from this engagement shall be governed by the laws of India and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
