1. Executive Summary
This Quotation Estimate is formally submitted to provide a comprehensive scope of professional Oceanographer services, specialized hydrographic instrumentation, and technical consultancy for deployment across the water bodies of Iraq Baghdad and its surrounding hydrological zones. The engagement encompasses the full lifecycle of oceanographic and limnographic survey operations, from initial site assessment through to final data delivery and long-term monitoring protocol establishment. All services and equipment outlined in this Quotation Estimate are tailored specifically to the unique hydrological conditions of Iraq Baghdad, where the confluence of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, the seasonal fluctuations of Lake Tharthar, and the sediment dynamics of the Shatt al-Arab waterway demand a highly specialized Oceanographer expertise.
2. Scope of Work
The Oceanographer team, led by Dr. Vasquez and supported by a multidisciplinary crew of hydrographers, limnologists, and marine geophysicists, will execute the following deliverables in Iraq Baghdad:
- Hydrographic Survey Operations: Full bathymetric mapping of the Tigris River channel within the Baghdad metropolitan zone (approximately 42 km stretch), including sub-bottom profiling and sediment core sampling at 15 designated stations.
- Water Quality & Limnological Assessment: Comprehensive physicochemical analysis (pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, salinity, heavy metals, nutrient loading) at 24 monitoring points spanning the Tigris, Euphrates, and Lake Tharthar perimeters in Iraq Baghdad.
- Current & Flow Profiling: Deployment of Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP) and electromagnetic flow meters to characterize seasonal flow regimes, flood pulse dynamics, and sediment transport rates.
- Remote Sensing & GIS Integration: Satellite-derived water extent mapping, thermal infrared analysis of evaporation rates, and geospatial modeling of flood risk zones for the Iraq Baghdad urban corridor.
- Long-Term Monitoring Network Design: Engineering and installation of a 12-station automated sensor network for continuous water level, temperature, and turbidity logging, with data relay to the Baghdad central operations center.
