1. SCOPE OF QUOTATION ESTIMATEThis Quotation Estimate is issued by Oceanographer International Ltd. in response to the formal request for quotation (RFQ) reference NIOF/RFQ/2025/0341, submitted by the Nigerian Institute of Oceanographic Research, Nigeria Abuja. This document provides a comprehensive and itemized cost breakdown for the supply, delivery, installation, calibration, and commissioning of oceanographic survey equipment and associated technical services. All pricing in this Quotation Estimate is inclusive of applicable taxes, customs duties, and logistics to the designated site in Nigeria Abuja and its surrounding operational zones. As outlined in this Quotation Estimate, payment shall be structured as follows: 40% advance payment upon execution of the purchase order; 40% upon successful delivery and installation at the Nigeria Abuja site; and 20% upon final acceptance and completion of the training programme. All payments shall be made in United States Dollars (USD) via irrevocable letter of credit through a mutually agreed international bank. Oceanographer International Ltd. reserves the right to adjust pricing in this Quotation Estimate should the exchange rate fluctuate by more than 5% between the date of issue and the date of order confirmation.
4. DELIVERY SCHEDULEUpon receipt of the advance payment and confirmed purchase order, Oceanographer International Ltd. commits to a maximum delivery timeline of 12 weeks from the date of order confirmation. All equipment will be shipped from our manufacturing facility in Hamburg, Germany, via air and sea freight to the Port of Lagos, and subsequently transported by secure road logistics to the final destination in Nigeria Abuja. Installation and commissioning will be conducted within 2 weeks of physical delivery, with the full training programme scheduled immediately thereafter.
5. TERMS AND CONDITIONSGeneral Conditions Governing This Quotation Estimate
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, Oceanographer International Ltd. reserves the right to revise pricing due to market fluctuations, currency changes, or supply chain adjustments.
- All Oceanographer-branded equipment supplied under this Quotation Estimate is manufactured to ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and complies with IHO (International Hydrographic Organization) specifications for hydrographic surveying.
- Delivery to Nigeria Abuja is subject to the client providing all necessary import permits, customs documentation, and site access clearances in a timely manner. Delays attributable to the client's documentation shall extend the delivery timeline proportionally.
- The warranty period commences on the date of successful commissioning and final acceptance at the Nigeria Abuja installation site. The warranty covers manufacturing defects but excludes damage caused by misuse, environmental factors beyond rated specifications, or unauthorized modifications.
- Oceanographer International Ltd. shall provide a dedicated technical support representative based in West Africa for the duration of the warranty period, ensuring rapid response to any equipment issues at the Nigeria Abuja facility.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a binding contract until a formal purchase order is issued by the client and accepted in writing by Oceanographer International Ltd.
- All intellectual property rights associated with Oceanographer software, firmware, and proprietary technology remain the exclusive property of Oceanographer International Ltd. The client is granted a non-transferable licence for internal use only.
- Any disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the subsequent contract shall be resolved through arbitration in Lagos, Nigeria, in accordance with the rules of the Lagos Court of Arbitration.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and confirms that the terms, pricing, and scope of work presented herein are acceptable. This signature does not constitute a binding order until a formal purchase order is issued in accordance with the terms stated above.
