1. Scope of Work – Oceanographer EngagementThis Quotation Estimate is submitted in response to the formal request for professional marine science services in the Philippines Manila region. The engagement centers on the deployment of a senior Oceanographer to conduct comprehensive hydrographic, bathymetric, and water quality assessments along the Manila Bay coastline and adjacent marine corridors. The Oceanographer will be responsible for designing and executing field surveys, collecting and analyzing oceanographic data, and producing technical reports in compliance with Philippine Environmental Management System (PES) standards and DENR Administrative Orders.
The scope encompasses a minimum of twelve (12) weeks of on-site and laboratory work within the Philippines Manila metropolitan area, including but not limited to: tidal current measurements, salinity and temperature profiling, sediment core sampling, plankton enumeration, and coastal erosion mapping. All deliverables will be submitted to the client's Manila Bay Management Office for review and integration into the ongoing bay rehabilitation program.

General Terms Governing This Quotation Estimate
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issuance. Any acceptance beyond the validity period requires written reconfirmation from Marine Science & Environmental Consulting Inc.
- Payment terms: 30% advance upon contract execution, 40% upon completion of fieldwork in the Philippines Manila area, and 30% upon final acceptance of the technical report by the client.
- The assigned Oceanographer shall hold a minimum of a Master's degree in Oceanography or Marine Science from a recognized Philippine or international university, with at least eight (8) years of documented field experience in tropical coastal environments.
- All work shall be conducted in strict compliance with the Philippine Environmental Impact Statement System (EISS), DENR Administrative Order No. 2003-30, and applicable local ordinances of the City of Manila and Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
- Force majeure events, including typhoons, volcanic activity, or government-issued travel restrictions affecting the Philippines Manila region, shall extend the project timeline proportionally without additional cost to the client.
- Intellectual property and data ownership: All raw and processed oceanographic data collected under this engagement shall be the sole property of the client. The Oceanographer and the consulting firm retain no rights to publish or distribute data without prior written consent.
- Disputes arising from this Quotation Estimate or the resulting contract shall be resolved through mediation under the rules of the Philippine Dispute Resolution Center, with venue set in the Philippines Manila jurisdiction.
- Any changes to the scope of work must be documented in a formal Change Order signed by both parties before additional services are rendered.
By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt of this Quotation Estimate and agrees to the terms, conditions, and pricing outlined herein for the engagement of the Oceanographer and associated services in the Philippines Manila area.
