This Quotation Estimate is issued by Oceanographer Ltd to the West Midlands Environmental Authority in relation to the comprehensive hydrographic and oceanographic surveying services required across the Birmingham metropolitan waterway network. The total duration of the engagement is estimated at sixteen (16) weeks from the date of contract execution. Fieldwork is scheduled to commence in the first week of October 2025, with laboratory analysis and modelling running concurrently. The final Quotation Estimate deliverables, including the comprehensive technical report and all GIS datasets, will be submitted no later than the end of January 2026. Oceanographer Ltd will assign a dedicated project manager based in our Birmingham office to ensure seamless coordination with the West Midlands Environmental Authority throughout the project lifecycle.
- Payment Terms: 30% advance deposit upon acceptance of this Quotation Estimate; 40% upon completion of fieldwork; 30% upon delivery and acceptance of the final report. All payments are due within 30 days of invoice date.
- Validity: This Quotation Estimate remains valid for ninety (90) days from the date of issue. After this period, Oceanographer Ltd reserves the right to revise pricing due to potential changes in equipment availability, labour costs, or regulatory requirements within the United Kingdom Birmingham region.
- Intellectual Property: All data, models, and reports generated under this engagement shall become the property of the West Midlands Environmental Authority upon full payment. Oceanographer Ltd retains the right to use anonymised data for internal research and methodological development.
- Force Majeure: Neither party shall be liable for delays caused by extreme weather events, canal lock closures, or government-mandated restrictions affecting operations in the United Kingdom Birmingham area.
- Confidentiality: Oceanographer Ltd commits to maintaining strict confidentiality of all proprietary data and site-specific information shared during the course of this project, in accordance with UK data protection legislation (UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018).
- Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
- Insurance: Oceanographer Ltd maintains public liability insurance of £10,000,000 and professional indemnity insurance of £5,000,000, both valid throughout the project duration in the United Kingdom Birmingham operational area.
By signing below, the parties acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this Quotation Estimate. Upon countersignature, this document shall constitute a binding agreement between Oceanographer Ltd and the West Midlands Environmental Authority for the services described herein, to be executed within the United Kingdom Birmingham jurisdiction.
