This Quotation Estimate is issued by Pacific Marine Sciences & Consulting Group, Inc. to formally outline the professional services, equipment deployment, and analytical deliverables associated with the engagement of a senior Oceanographer for a comprehensive marine environmental assessment conducted within the United States San Francisco metropolitan area and its surrounding coastal waters. Payment for this Quotation Estimate shall be structured as follows: 30% upon execution of the service agreement, 40% upon completion of all fieldwork and vessel operations, and 30% upon delivery and acceptance of the final technical report and GIS datasets. All payments are due within fifteen (15) business days of invoice issuance. Late payments shall accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month as permitted under California Commercial Code Section 2910.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all pricing, vessel availability, and Oceanographer scheduling must be reconfirmed in writing.
- The assigned Oceanographer, Dr. Elena Vasquez, holds a Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography from the University of California, San Diego, and maintains active professional certification through the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and the Society for Marine Science. A minimum of 15 years of field experience in the United States San Francisco Bay region is guaranteed.
- All field operations will be conducted in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, the U.S. Coast Guard regulations for commercial vessels operating in United States San Francisco waters, and the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) guidelines.
- Weather-related delays exceeding 48 consecutive hours due to Pacific storm systems or fog conditions typical of the United States San Francisco coastline shall be documented and may extend the project timeline without additional cost to the client, up to a maximum of five (5) additional operational days.
- All data collected, including bathymetric maps, water quality records, and biological survey results, shall become the exclusive property of the client upon full payment. The Oceanographer and Pacific Marine Sciences retain the right to publish anonymized, aggregated findings in peer-reviewed journals with prior written notice to the client.
- This Quotation Estimate does not constitute a contract until both parties have executed a formal Service Agreement incorporating the terms herein. Governing law for any disputes shall be the laws of the State of California, with jurisdiction in the Superior Court of San Francisco County, United States San Francisco.
- Force majeure events, including but not limited to earthquakes, tsunamis, or government-issued marine closures in the United States San Francisco harbor, shall suspend obligations without penalty to either party.
