Notes & Scope of Work
This Quotation Estimate covers the full cycle of ophthalmic services as described above. All examinations are performed by a licensed Optometrist registered with the Italian Ministry of Health (Ministero della Salute). Our practice in Italy Rome operates in full compliance with Italian healthcare regulations, EU medical device directives, and the professional standards set by the Italian Association of Optometrists (AIO — Associazione Italiana di Ottica e Optometria).
The comprehensive eye examination includes a detailed medical history review, subjective and objective refraction, binocular vision assessment, colour vision testing, and a dilated fundus examination. Should the Optometrist identify any condition requiring referral to an ophthalmologist or medical specialist, this referral will be provided at no additional cost, though any subsequent specialist consultations are outside the scope of this estimate.
The spectacle lenses specified in this quotation are manufactured to the exact prescription issued by our Optometrist following the examination. The 1.60 refractive index is selected for its balance of optical clarity and lens thickness, making it ideal for moderate to high prescriptions. The anti-reflective and blue-light filter coatings are included as standard in our Italy Rome practice to protect against digital screen strain.
Terms & Conditions
1. Validity: This Quotation Estimate is valid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Prices are subject to change after the expiry date due to fluctuations in material costs, exchange rates for imported lens materials, or changes in Italian VAT legislation.
2. Payment Terms: A deposit of 50% (€451.40) is required at the time of order confirmation to secure the manufacturing slot for your lenses. The remaining balance of 50% (€451.40) is due upon collection of your finished eyewear. We accept bank transfer (bonifico bancario), credit/debit card, and cash payments. All transactions are processed in accordance with Italian fiscal regulations.
3. Manufacturing & Delivery Timeline: Standard prescription lenses require approximately 7 to 10 business days for manufacturing and fitting. Complex progressive or high-index lenses may require up to 15 business days. Your Optometrist will confirm the exact timeline at the time of your examination.
4. Warranty: All spectacle lenses carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Frames carry a 24-month warranty. This warranty is valid only when the product is serviced or repaired at our Italy Rome premises or an authorised partner.
5. Cancellation & Refunds: Should you wish to cancel this order after the deposit has been paid and lens manufacturing has commenced, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations prior to manufacturing will be refunded in full within 14 business days.
6. Data Protection: In compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003, all personal and medical data collected during this process will be stored securely and used solely for the purpose of delivering the services outlined in this Quotation Estimate.
7. Governing Law: This Quotation Estimate and any resulting agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Italian Republic. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rome, Italy.
