Based on the current Discovery Health Ortho Plan benefits for 2025, the estimated medical aid contribution towards this Quotation Estimate is R 48,000.00 (subject to annual orthodontic benefit limits and pre-authorisation). The patient's estimated out-of-pocket contribution, inclusive of VAT, would therefore be approximately R 34,512.50. Our Orthodontist in South Africa Cape Town will submit all claims directly to the medical aid scheme on the patient's behalf. The patient is advised to confirm their specific orthodontic benefit limits with Discovery Health prior to commencing treatment.
6. Payment Terms- A deposit of 20% (R 16,502.50) is required at the time of appliance placement to confirm the treatment booking.
- The remaining balance (less medical aid contribution) may be paid in equal monthly instalments over the duration of treatment (28 months), amounting to approximately R 1,232.60 per month.
- All payments are due by the 7th of each month. Late payments may incur a 10% administrative fee as per the practice's terms of service.
- Medical aid payments are settled directly between the scheme and the practice. The patient is responsible for any co-payment or shortfall.
- This Quotation Estimate is valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Fees are subject to annual adjustment in line with the practice's fee schedule for South Africa Cape Town.

The actual treatment duration and costs may vary depending on the patient's biological response to orthodontic forces, compliance with appliance care instructions, and any unforeseen clinical developments. The patient acknowledges that additional procedures (e.g., extractions, additional IPR, or extended treatment) may be required and will be quoted separately with prior written consent.
- The patient is responsible for maintaining good oral hygiene throughout treatment. Failure to do so may result in additional restorative work not covered by this Quotation Estimate.
- Appointment cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged at 50% of the consultation fee.
- This Quotation Estimate is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Cape High Court, Cape Town, South Africa.
- The practice is registered with the HPCSA and complies with all applicable South African health regulations, including POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013) regarding patient data.
