This Quotation Estimate is formally issued by East African Petroleum Engineering Solutions Ltd. to provide a comprehensive and itemised cost breakdown for the engagement of a senior Petroleum Engineer to deliver specialised technical consultancy services in Kenya Nairobi. This document serves as the official Quotation Estimate for all professional services, travel, accommodation, and ancillary costs associated with the proposed engagement. The Petroleum Engineer referenced herein shall operate in full compliance with the Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Act, 2019, and all regulatory requirements set forth by the Petroleum Authority of Kenya (PAK) headquartered in Kenya Nairobi.

The Petroleum Engineer engaged under this Quotation Estimate shall provide the following services within the Kenya Nairobi metropolitan area and surrounding operational zones:

  • Reservoir characterisation and volumetric analysis for the proposed onshore exploration block in the Turkana Basin, with all reporting and coordination conducted from the Kenya Nairobi office.
  • Well design optimisation, completion engineering, and production forecasting for a minimum of six (6) exploration and appraisal wells.
  • Preparation of technical submissions and regulatory filings to the Petroleum Authority of Kenya, located in Kenya Nairobi, in accordance with statutory timelines.
  • Conduct of monthly technical review meetings with the client's project management team at the client's premises in Kenya Nairobi.
  • Development of a comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) technical annex in collaboration with licensed environmental consultants in Kenya Nairobi.
  • Supervision and quality assurance of all subsurface data acquisition, interpretation, and modelling activities.

  • This Quotation Estimate is valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issue. Beyond this period, all rates are subject to revision based on prevailing market conditions in Kenya Nairobi.
  • All amounts stated in this Quotation Estimate are in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate of 16%, which shall be added upon finalisation of the service agreement.
  • The Petroleum Engineer shall be required to maintain professional indemnity insurance with a minimum cover of KES 50,000,000, as mandated for all petroleum sector professionals operating in Kenya Nairobi and its environs.
  • Payment terms: 30% advance mobilisation upon signing, 50% upon completion of the mid-term deliverable (month 6), and 20% upon final project closure and handover of all technical documentation.
  • The Petroleum Engineer shall comply with all data protection requirements under the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya, and all subsurface data shall remain the exclusive property of the client.
  • Any change in scope beyond the parameters outlined in this Quotation Estimate shall be subject to a supplementary Quotation Estimate and mutual written agreement prior to execution.
  • Disputes arising from this engagement shall be resolved through arbitration in Kenya Nairobi in accordance with the Arbitration Act, 1995 of Kenya.

By signing below, the client acknowledges receipt and acceptance of this Quotation Estimate for the engagement of a Petroleum Engineer to deliver the services described herein in Kenya Nairobi. This acceptance constitutes a binding commitment to proceed with the services as outlined, subject to the terms and conditions stated above.
